한국 글로벌 기업의 해외 법인에 근무하는 현채인의 관점에서 본 한국인 주재원의 필요 역량 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국 글로벌 기업의 해외 법인에 근무하는 현채인의 관점에서 본 한국 글로벌 기업 A사의 한국인 주재원의 필요 역량에 대한 인식을 분석하는 것이다. 분석 결과 현채인은 한국인 주재원은 담당하고 있는 직무는 잘 수행하나 외국어와 이문화를 바탕으로 한 리더십/관리 역량이 부족하고, 조직은 성과 목표와 피드백 역량이 매우 낮다고 인식하였다. 따라서, 한국인 주재원의 외국어, 이문화, 리더십/관리 역량 증진을 위한 다양한 방법과 교육 훈련이 필요한 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 조직구성원들이 합의한 명확한 법인/부서의 성과 목표 설정, 목표달성을 확인할 수 있는 측정 가능한 구체적인 평가 지표 개발, 업무 성과 달성에 대한 이해관계자의 구체적이고 시의적절한 피드백 제공, 업무추진상의 권한과 책임의 부여를 증진시킬 필요성이 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze, from the host-country nationals` perspective, those competencies these host-country nationals think are important for the Korean expatriates they are working with in an A Korean global corporation in their country. This study found that host-country nationals believed Korean expatriates performed their tasks well but lacked leadership/management competencies. The study also found that the host-country nationals thought their Korean corporation lacked competencies in setting performance goals and providing adequate feedbacks. This study found that in order for Korean expatriates to achieve successful performance, A Korean global corporation needs to offer various training and development programs for the Korean expatriates in order to increase their language skills, cross-cultural understanding, and leadership/management competencies. This study also found that A Korean global corporation needs to set clear performance goals for work agreed upon by all members, develop specific and detailed KPIs to measure goal achievement, give clear and specific feedback to people on their performance, and empower their employees to carry out their work.
