청소년의 자살생각, 스트레스, 공부압박감의 종단적 추이와 해석

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국청소년들이 전로를 개척하는 과정에서 겪게 되는 심라적 문제인 공부압박감, 스트레스, 지잘생각의 종단적 추이를 분석하고 그 종단적 추이에 작용한 설명변인을 탐색할 목적에서 수행되었다. 분석대상은 두 집단으로 구성되었다. 첫 번째 분석집단은 한국청소년개발원의 한국청소년패널조사에 참여하였던 초등학교 4학년부터 고등학교 3학년에 결친 청소년들로 본 연구는 이들을 대싱으로 한 청소년 패널조사자료 중 본 연구의 문제와 관련된 변인들을 선별하여 분석하였다. 두 번째 분석집단은 중부지역 K 대학 1학년생들로 이들은 청소년기의 공부압박감, 스트레스 및 지잘생각의 종단적 추이 분석결과를 해석하였다. 청소년들의 전로탐색과정에서 경험하게 되는 심라적 문제들의 종단적 추이를 분석하기 위하여 반복측정변량분석이 적용되었는데 중학교 3학년생들의 지잘생각 수준이 가장 높았으며, 고등학교 단계로 접어들면서 낮아지다가 고등학교 3학년에서 가장 낮은 수준을 보였다. 이러한 결괴를 두고 대학생 집단은 고등학교에 접어들면서 스트레스? 특히 공부압박감과 대학입시가 너무 과도하기 때문에 자살생각을 할 여유가 없다는 해석이 지배적이었다. 이러한 해석을 반영하듯, 실제로 청소년 패널조사를 분석결과 스트레스 수준은 초등학교 4학년부터 중학교 2학년까지 높아지다가 그 이후부터 고등학교 3학년까지 같은 수준을 유지하였다. 또한 공부압박감은 스트레스 수준처럼 초등학교 4학년부터 중학교 2학년까지는 높아지다가 중학교 3학년 단계에서 열사적으로 낮아전 후 다사 고등학교 단계로 접어들면서 점증하는 경호떨 보였다. 이러한 결괴를 토대로 청소년의 지잘생각의 종단적 변화추이에 작용하게 된 원인들이 추론되었으며, 청소년들이 자신의 전로를 탐색하는 과정에서 지잘생각을 경험하게 되는 실절적인 동기에 대한 논의가 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

This study is an attempt to analyze the longitudinal changes of adolescents` suicide ideation, stress, and studying pressure. The data from Korean Youth Panel Survey by NYPI was used for the analysis of longitudinal changes on suicide ideation, stress, and studying pressure, and K university students participated to interpret the results. Repeated-measure ANOVA was used to analyze the longitudinal changes of the adolescents` suicide ideation, stress, and studying pressure. And, repeated contrast was applied to compare the differences among the years. Findings on the longitudinal changes of adolescents` suicide ideation are summarized as the follows. First, middle school 3rd graders` suicide ideation level is the highest among the panel subjects from elementary school 4th grader to high school 3rd graders. Second, the suicide ideation level is gradually decreasing by entering the high school period. Third, high school 3rd graders` suicide ideation level is the lowest from the period of middle school 3rd grade through high school period. Next, the interpretation of K university freshmen on the tendency mentioned above explains adolescents` suicide ideation level`s ups and downs. It seems that the level decreases when they feel free from stress, especially from studying pressure relating high school and university entrance exam Finally, the longitudinal changes on elementary school 4th graders` stress level increase gradually, while the changes of middle school 2nd graders dominates a flat form in a high place. Adolescents` studying pressure increases in gradual from elementary school 4th grade to middle school 2nd grade and it decreases during middle school 2nd and 3rd grades. But it increases again to the period of high school 2nd grade and it decreases on high school 3rd grade.
