상담학에서 공감 연구에 대한 고찰 : 상담학 분야 주요학술지 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 최근 공감 관련 연구의 동향과 특성을 분석하고 향후 상담에서의 공감 연구의 전망을 논의하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 ‘공감’을 주제어로 2014년부터 2019년까지 국내의 상담학 분야 주요 학술지(상담학 연구, 한국 상담심리학회지 : 상담 및 심리치료, 청소년 상담연구)에 게재된 총 38편의 논문을 대상으로 분석하였고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공감연구 논문 수는 2014년부터 증가하다가 2018년부터 감소하였다. 둘째, 일반 성인을 대상으로 한 연구(23.7%)가 가장 많았다. 셋째, 연구주제로는 성격․적응 연구(47.4%)가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구방법으로는 양적연구(92.0%), 측정도구로는 IRI, 통계분류기준으로는 회귀분석 연구(44.3%)가 가장 많이 사용되었다. 마지막으로 연구변인으로는 정서적 특성과 자아 및 동기(22.2%)변인 관련 연구가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 공감연구에 대한 시사점과 후속 연구에 대한 제언 및 본 연구의 한계점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objuectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends and characteristics of recent empathy research and to discuss the prospect of empathy research in counseling. Methods: As a method to achieve this purpose, a total of 38 papers on empathy published in major journals(Korea Journal of Counseling, The Korean Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy, The Korea Journal of Youth Counseling) from 2014 to 2019 were analyzed and the following result was drawn. Results: First, the number of published empathy research papers showed an increase from 2014 and then decreased from 2018. Second, the survey on adults(23.7%) was the most. Third, personality․adaptation research(47.4%) was the most in terms of research subject. Fourth, IRI was the most frequently used measurement tool(47.4%) and quantitative research(92.0%) was the most common research method. Regression analysis(44.3%) was the most frequently used statistical analysis. Lastly, in terms of research variables, emotional characteristics and self-motivation(22.2%) was the most frequently studied variable. Conclusion: Based on these results, the implications for the study, suggestions for follow-up studies, and limitations of this study were presented as conclusions.
