학교폭력 문제를 둘러싼 가해교사의 교직 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

이 연구는 교육현장의 교사가 학교폭력의 가해자로 지목되면서 자신이 선택하고 수행 해왔던 교직의 가치를 어떻게 받아들이고 자신의 교육방식과 행동에 대해서는 어떻게 반성하고 해석해가고 있는가에 대한 가해교사의 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구이다. 학교 폭력의 예방과 문제해결의 전문가인 연구자는 학교폭력 사안처리에 대한 컨설팅의 과정 에서 만났던 두 가해교사를 연구참여자로 선정하여 그들의 학교폭력 가해문제를 상담하 면서 수집한 내러티브를 분석하였다. 그들이 교직생활을 통해서 가지고 있었던 교육방 식에 대한 입장과 학교폭력의 가해교사가 된 사건의 경험, 조기퇴직의 선택에 대한 이야 기, 그리고 교육현장에서 바뀐 것과 바뀌지 않는 것 사이에서 경험하고 있는 갈등과 적 응에 대한 그들의 내러티브는 현재 학교폭력 문제를 둘러싼 법 규정으로 인해 나타난 사회적 인식, 학교현장의 교육주체인 교사의 인식, 그리고 그 객체인 학생의 인식들 간 에 나타나고 있는 갈등과 균형의 의미와 학교현장의 학교폭력 문제의 현상을 드러내주 고 있었다.

영문 초록

This narrative inquiry investigates how teachers accept the value of teaching that they have chosen and how they reflect and interpret their own teaching methods and behaviors as they are identified as perpetrators of school violence. The researchers, who are experts in the prevention and problem solving of school violence, selected two teachers who were encountered during the consulting process of school violence cases as research participants, and analyzed the narratives collected by consulting them. Specifically, this inquiry analyzed their narratives about the position of the teaching method they had through their chosen teaching career, the experience of the case that became the penetrators of the school violence, the story of their choice of early retirement, and their conflicts and adaptation which they have experienced between what was changed and what does not change in the education scene. Their narratives reveal the meaning of conflict and balance among the social perception as the legal rule surrounding the current school violence problem, the perception of the teacher as the educational subject of the school site, and the perception of students as the educational object, and represent the current phenomena of school violence at school sites.
