국문 초록

목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 복지관 인지지원시범사업에 대한 치매노인과 제공자의 경험을 조사하여, 인지지원시범사업 지원방안을 모색하는데 있다. 연구방법 : 현실적이고 구체적인 인지지원 방안을 모색하기 위해 치매 당사자의 요구와 신념을 반영하고, 서비스 제공자의 경험을 조사하기 위해 질적 연구 중 하나인 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(Focus Group Interview: 이하 FGI)를 실시하였으며, 주제기법(thematic analysis)을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 : 참여자들은 프로그램 참여에 있어 심리적 어려움이 있었지만, 프로그램에 대한 만족도가 높았다. 제공자들도 프로그램에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 내렸지만, 프로그램 운영에 있어서 참여자의 인지능력 차이, 전담인력 부족, 프로그램 운영 전문성 등에 있어서 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 또한, 프로그램 참여자들인 치매노인에 대해서 기존 노인복지관 이용자들이 부정적인 반응을 보이기도 했다. 결론 : 프로그램 참여의 방해요인인 사회적 낙인을 제거하고, 기존 복지관 이용자들과의 융합을 위해 지역사회 중심의 치매인식개선 캠페인, 교육이 필요하다. 치매노인과의 접촉을 늘려 기존 이용자들과의 융합을 위해서는 통합 프로그램 개발이 필요하다. 또한, 프로그램 참여자들의 인지능력에 따른 맞춤형 프로그램 개발이 필요한 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

Objective : This study is to explore the perspectives and feedbacks on the participants and providers of the community based pilot project for cognitive function improvement. Methods : Focus Group Interviews and thematic analysis were performed in order to examine the experiences of the service participants and providers to build more detailed and elaborately designed service model. Results : There were participants’ high satisfaction for the program, despite the participation with initial reluctance. Service providers made positive evaluation in the effects of the service. However, there were needs of service improvements in individualized service provision, professionalism, and staffs. Also, there were strong stigma to dementia among older adults without cognitivedecline. Conclusion : It is necessary that social stigma to dementia should be removed and there should be community campaign to raise awareness and challenge the stigma of dementia. There should social integration between older adults with cognitive decline and with decline and the developments of individualized programs for them.
