유아교사의 좋은 수업에 대한 인식과 좋은 수업의 방해요인 및 요구도 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 유아교사의 좋은 수업에 대한 인식과 좋은 수업 방해 요인 및 좋은 수업 수행에 필요한 요구도를 조사하고, 요인들 간의 관계성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 전라도에 소재한 유치원에 근무하는 유아교사 179명이다. 연구도구는 선행연구를 참고하여 연구목적에 적절하게 수정⋅보완한 질문지를 사용하였다. 연구결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사의 좋은 수업에 대한 인식은 높은 편이며, ‘수업에 대한 유아의 반응’을 가장 중요하게 생각하였다. 차이 검증한 결과, 10년 이상의 경력교사가 7∼9년의 경력교사보다 좋은 수업에 대한 인식 수준이 높았다. 둘째, 유아교사는 좋은 수업을 실행하는데 약간의 어려움을 느끼고 있었으며, 하위요인별로는 수업내용, 수업방법, 수업분위기 순으로 나타났다. 차이 검증한 결과, 전문대 졸업 교사가 4년제 졸업 교사보다 어려움을 나타냈으며, 7∼9년의 경력교사가 4∼6년의 경력교사보다 방해 요인이 많다고 응답하였다. 또한, 유아교사의 좋은 수업 실행을 위한 요구도는 높은 편으로 나타났으며, 하위요인별로는 교사교육, 행‧재정적 지원, 환경적 지원의 순으로 나타났다. 차이 검증한 결과, 교사의 학력, 경력, 연령이 높을수록 좋은 수업을 위한 요구도가 높았다. 셋째, 유아교사의 좋은 수업에 대한 인식은 좋은 수업 방해요인 간에는 부적인 상관관계가 있었고, 좋은 수업을 위한 요구도 간에는 정적인 상관관계가 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study are to investigate the perceptions of a good instruction among early childhood teachers, barrier factors to a good instruction, and their needs for the implementation of a good instruction and test relations between the factors. The subjects include 179 early childhood teachers at kindergartens around the Jeolla Provinces. The findings were as follows: First, the early childhood teachers had high perceptions of a good instruction and placed the biggest importance on “young children’s reactions to an instruction.” The test results of differences show that the teachers with a career of ten years or longer had a higher perception level of a good instruction than those with a career of seven to nine years. Second, the early childhood teachers had a little difficulty with providing a good instruction. The test results of differences reveal that those who graduated from a community college had more difficulties than those who graduated from a university. The teachers with a career of seven to nine years said that there were more barrier factors than those with a career of four to six years. The test results of differences indicate that they had greater needs for a good instruction according to higher educational background, longer career, and older age. And finally, their perceptions of a good instruction had negative correlations with barrier factors to a good instruction and positive ones with their needs for a good instruction.
