국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중년여성의 자기분화와 가족관계 변인 및 행복감의 관계를 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 전라북도에 거주하는 40-59세의 중년여성 278명을 대상으로 설문조사에 응답하는 방식으로 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구 결과는 첫째, 중년여성의 일반적 특성에 따른 행복감의 차이검증 결과, 직업, 종교에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 상관분석 결과 행복감과 자기분화, 부부친밀감, 자녀와의 관계 그리고 친부모와 상관이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중년여성의 행복감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위해 중다회귀 분석결과 일반적 특성인 직업, 가족관계 변인으로 자녀와의 관계가 중년여성의 행복감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 중년여성의 자기분화와 가족관계 변인 및 행복감의 관계를 알아보고 행복감에 영향을 주는 요인을 알아봄으로써 인생에서 가장 오랜 시간을 보내는 중년여성의 행복한 삶을 지지하고 가족치료 및 상담, 집단 상담에 필요한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있으며 그에 필요한 시스템을 구축하는 데 필요한 자료를 제공하는 것에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships of self-differentiation and family relationship variables to the happiness of middle-aged women. Methods: A quantitative survey was conducted with 278 women age 40 to 59. Results: The research findings are as follows. First, analysis considering factors relating to middle-aged women’s basic characteristics indicates significant differences in the happiness of middle-aged women based on the presence of having a job or religion. Second, correlation analysis shows that their happiness is highly correlated with self-differentiation, marital intimacy, parent-child relationships and the presence of biological parents. Third, results of multiple regression analysis investigating factors that affect middle-aged women’s happiness show a significant positive effect of having a professional occupation, followed by having good parent-child relationships, which is found to be one of the significant family relationship variables. Conclusions: The findings of this research support research on happiness of middle-aged women who are in their longest life span, while simultaneously supporting the development of an important repository of information needed for the consultation of family members and groups.
