장애학생을 위한 지역사회중심 교수프로그램 적용사례 고찰: 국내 연구를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애학생을 대상으로 지역사회중심 교수프로그램을 적용한 사례연구를 조사하여 분석함으로써, 국내에서 이루어지고 있는 지역사회중심교수의 연구동향과 실제를 파악하고, 효과적인 지역사회중심 교수프로그램을 개발하고 적용하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제시하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 따라서 본 연구는 최근 국내에서 발표된 지역사회중심교수와 관련된 논문을 조사하여, 분석논문 선정기준에 따라 10편의 적용사례 논문을 최종 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 선행연구 분석은 11개의 분석변인(연구대상, 실험환경, 실험설계 및 절차, 중재프로그램과 기법, 목표기술, 측정도구 및 방법, 관찰자간 신뢰도, 사회적 타당도, 중재 충실도, 결과, 유지 및 일반화)에 따라 분석되었다. 대부분의 선행연구는 다양한 기법으로 구성된 지역사회중심 교수프로그램을 사용하여 장애학생의 지역사회시설 이용기술, 이동 및 여가기술 등을 습득하게 하는데 효과적이었으며, 습득된 기술은 다른 장소에서도 일반화되고 유지된 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 선행연구들의 목표기술은 직업적응이나 거주적응과 같은 일상생활 맥락에서 이루어지는 일련의 통합된 기술보다는, 제한된 기술영역에서 개별적이고 분리된 과제들을 목표기술로 설정한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 11개의 분석변인에 따라 분석결과를 구체적으로 제시하였으며, 장애학생을 위한 지역사회중심교수와 지역사회 적응관점에서 그 결과를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Community-based instruction(CBI) is one of the most effective techniques to improve skill acquisition and generalization of newly learned skills to everyday living environments. Community-based instruction is a comprehensive approach to promote community integration and successful adult life adjustment especially for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The purpose of this study was to review the research literature of community-based instruction and to provide information and suggestions on community-based instruction practices and future research. A systematic search of the literature from 2000 to 2007 revealed 10 experimental studies published in major special education journals. This study analyzed the 10 selected studies in terms of 11 analytic variables: participants, research settings, experimental design, training program and strategies, target skills, method of measurement, inter-observer reliability, social validation, treatment fidelity, results, maintenance and generalization. In particular, this study focused primary on community-based instruction components and target skills of the analyzed studies. In general, this review study showed that community-based instruction programs were effective in teaching community living skills and improving generalization of learned skills to community settings for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The findings of this study were described in detail based on the 11 analytic variables. Implications of the findings and recommendation for practice and future research on community-based instruction were presented.
