국문 초록

본 연구는 부정적 생각 바꾸기 집단 진로지도 프로그램이 지적장애 학생의 부정적 자동적 사고에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 J도에 소재한 지적장애 특수학교 중학생 3명, 고등학생 1명을 대상으로 사전-사후 검사설계를 하여 양적 변화량을 알아보고, 대상 학생들의 변화 과정을 기술하였다. 연구결과, 부정적 생각 바꾸기 집단 진로지도 프로그램이 지적장애학생의 부정적 자동적 사고에 긍정적인 변화를 준 것으로 나타났다. 프로그램 회기가 진행 될수록 학생들의 수업 참여 태도, 공격적인 언어 사용 빈도 감소, 돌발행동 및 문제행동의 감소, 다음 차시 수업에 대한 기대감 표현 등 변화된 모습을 보였다. 이와 같은 긍정적인 결과는 지적장애 학생들의 심리적 지원을 위한 진로지도가 이루어져야 한다는 점을 시사하고 있다. 지적장애 학생들이 자신의 미래에 대한 목표와 계획을 세우고 체계적으로 자신의 진로를 위한 노력을 할 수 있는 진로교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 특수교육 현장에서는 노력을 해야 할 것이다. 이와 같은 연구결과에 대한 시사점과 함께 긍정적인 사고를 이끌어내는 활동의 필요성, 프로그램 운영 회기 확충 등 연구의 제한점과 제언이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of group career counseling program for changing negative thoughts on the negative automatic thoughts of students with intellectual disabilities. A pretest-posttest design was employed. 3 middle school students and 1 high school students enrolled at a special school in J-do participated in this study. The amount of quantitative change was analyzed. In addition, the process of changes in the students’ negative thoughts were described in detail. According to the results, Negative thoughts-changing group career counseling program showed positive change in negative automatic thoughts of students with intellectual disability. As the session of the program was progressed more, the students showed some changes in the attitude to class participation, reduced frequency of using aggressive language, decrease of unpredicted/problematic behaviors, and the expression of expectancy in the next session. These positive results suggest that career counseling should be provided for psychological support of students with intellectual disabilities. In order for the students with intellectual disabilities to establish goals and plans for their future and to provide career education in order to systematically make efforts for their own career, efforts should be made in the special education field. The educational implications of this study, the necessity of activities that lead to positive thinking, the limitations with suggestions of this study such as longer experimental sessions were discussed.
