국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라의 전통미술 문화에 대하여 어린이들이 자신의 삶과 관련지어 이해하고, 체험하고, 표현할 수 있도록 6학년 미술·사회과를 유기적인 연계학습 프로그램으로 재구성하여 적용하는 것이다. 미술· 사회 연계학습을 위한 프로그램 제작은, 전통미술 문화에 관한 교사․아동의 설문지 조사와 문헌자료에 기초하여 미술· 사회과를 미적체험, 표현, 감상 단계로 연계하여 재구성하였고, 제작과정은 아동들의 전통미술 문화에 대한 흥미도 향상에 의의를 두었다. 이 프로그램을 현장 수업에 적용한 결과, 전통미술 문화에 대한 아동들의 흥미와 관심도가 매우 높아졌으며, 전통미술의 우수성을 깊게 이해하고, 체험함으로써 우리 문화에 대한 자긍심을 갖게 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발한 미술· 사회과 연계학습 프로그램은, 전통미술문화가 박제된 과거의 문화유산이 아니라 문화 원형으로서 지금 여기 우리의 삶과 함께 한다는 것을 어린이들에게 일깨우고, 전통미술 문화에 대한 흥미와 관심을 향상시킨다는 점에서 교육적 의의와 활용가치가 기대되는 학습 프로그램이라 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to promote children s interest and concern about the traditional Korean art through integrated learning with fine art and traditional paintings in Korean history unit of social studies. It is implied that students can understand traditional art better by actual experience. The subjects were the 6th graders in elementary school. The theme of traditional Korean art in fine art and social studies in elementary school was analyzed. Then, student-activity programs were developed in order to integrate fine art with social studies. The program were developed based on teachers and children survey results and documentary records. First, in the aesthetic experience field, the students surveyed traditional Korean paintings in the social studies textbook with a list of viewpoint and made a collection from survey results. Second, in the expression field-①, this theme was integrated with ‘creating an advertisement’ unit in fine art and connected with ’decorating letters of one s name’ so as to revive the meaning and symbol of folk paintings. Third, in the expression field-②, informing traditional Korean paintings as a follow-up was done. Subjects were self-directed to restructure the traditional Korean paintings in the textbook. Fourth, in the appreciation field, students publicize their works around, regardless of the recipients gender, age, status or place. The results shows that the subjects‘ interest and concern about traditional Korean culture increased and their pride in their culture was also promoted through experiencing their traditional culture. Advertising their traditional paintings to the public, they were surprised at so many people ignorant of their own culture and, furthermore, motivated to cultivate their culture. In addition, the findings show that the integrated program was valuable for subjects to realize that traditional art was not the fixed cultural heritage of the past. The students rather view that traditional art exists in the same period with them.
