일생의례중심 표현예술치료가 초기청소년의 자기지각과 사회적 기술에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 일생의례중심 표현예술치료 프로그램 실시를 통해 초기청소년들의 자기지각과 사회적 기술의 변화에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 D시에 위치한 초기청소년 30명(실험집단: 15명, 통제집단: 15명)을 대상으로 주 1회 180분씩, 총 9회기를 진행하였다. 일생의례중심 표현예술치료 프로그램을 초기청소년들에게 실시하여 자기지각과 사회적 기술에 미치는 효과를 검증한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 프로그램의 실시 후 실험집단 초기청소년의 자기지각은 M=3.25에서 M=3.79로 증가(z=-3.410, p<.001)하는 유의미한 차이를 보여 자기지각이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 프로그램 실시 후 실험집단 초기청소년의 사회적 기술도 M=3.24에서 M=3.72로 증가(z=-3.238, p<.001)하는 유의미한 차이를 보여 사회적 기술 역시 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 움직임 관찰을 분석한 결과, 전체적으로 1회기에서 9회기가 진행되는 동안 모든 움직임 항목에 있어서 긍정적인 변화를 보여 주었다. 본 연구는 사람이 태어나서 성인이 되기까지 통과해야하는 과정을 한국전통문화의 콘텐츠를 활용하여 표현예술치료를 경험하게 하였다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of the expressive arts therapy program focusing on lifetime rituals on early adolescents self-perception and social skills. For this study, 30 early adolescents were selected and assigned 15 of them to a experimental group and the other 15 to a control group. This program was carried out a total of 9 sessions once a week for 180 minutes per session. This study showed that early adolescents self-perception and social skills were improved significantly as follows; the scale of self-perception for the experimental group increased from M=3.25 to M=3.79(z=-3.410, p<.001), and the scale of social skills for the experimental group improved from M=3.24 to M=3.72(z=-3.238, p<.001). And, early adolescents showed the positive changes on their physical movements through all sessions of this program. The significance of this research is as follows: This study developed the program that combined expressive arts therapy and lifetime rituals of Korean cultural heritage, and this program was helpful for early adolescents to experience movements and arts activities that reflected Korean traditional culture.
