청소년의 가족여가활동과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로관련 부모지지의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년의 가족여가활동 참여 실태를 파악하고, 가족여가활동과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로관련부모지지의 매개효과를 알아보는데 그 주요 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 광주시와 용인시에 거주하는 중학교 1학년에서 고등학교 1학년 남녀학생 332명의 자료를 분석하였다. 측정을 위해 이민아(2006)가 재구성한 가족여가활동척도, 이기학과 한종철(1997)이 재구성한 진로성숙도척도, Turner 등(2003)이 개발하고 김수리(2005)가 번안한 진로관련부모지지척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 22.0을 사용하여 기술통계분석, t-검증, 상관분석, 구조방정식모형 검증을 하였으며, 매개효과 검증을 위해 부트스트랩을사용하였다. 연구결과, 가족여가활동은 고등학생에 비해 중학생이, 그리고 가정경제수준이 높을수록 더 많은참여를 보였다. 진로관련 부모지지는 중학생에 비해 고등학생이, 그리고 가정경제수준이 높을수록 더 높게지각하였으며, 진로성숙도는 중학생에 비해 고등학생이 더 높았다. 구조방정식모형 검증결과, 가족여가활동과 진로성숙도 간의 관계는 진로관련 부모지지에 의해 매개되었다. 즉 가족여가활동이 많을수록 진로관련부모지지를 높게 지각하였고, 진로관련 부모지지를 높게 지각할수록 진로성숙도가 높았다. 본 연구는 청소년의 진로성숙도를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안으로 가족여가활동의 중요성을 새롭게 조명했다는 데 그 의의가있다. 또한 청소년과 그 가족을 위한 부모교육 및 지원에 대한 정보 그리고 정책수립의 기초자료를 제공할것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of career-related parental support on the relationship between family leisure activities and career maturity of adolescents. Data from 332 students of 3 middle schools and 3 high schools in Gwangju and Yongin in Gyeonggi province were analyzed. The measures used were the family leisure scale reconstructed by Lee Min-ah(2006), the career maturity scale reconstructed by Lee, Ki Hak & Han, Jong Chul(1997), and the career-related parent support scale developed by Turner et al.(2003). Descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling were performed using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The bootstrap method was used to test the mediating effect. The main results were as follows. First, family leisure activities showed higher participation by middle school students than high school students. The perceived level of career-related parental support was higher among high school students than middle school students, and the higher the level of household income was, the higher career-related parental support was. Career maturity was higher among high school students than middle school students. Finally, the relationship between family leisure activities and career maturity is mediated by career-related parental support. The more family leisure activities were, the higher the perceived career-related parental support was. The higher the perceived career-related parental support was, the higher the career maturity was. The results suggested family leisure activities as another important way to enhance the career maturity of adolescents. This study provided some valuable implications for career-related educational and counseling services for adolescents and their families.
