노년기 신체장애인의 일상생활 스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향 : 여가생활 만족의 조절효과를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 65세 이상의 신체장애노인 791명을 대상으로 일상생활 스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향, 여가생활 만족이 우울에 미치는 영향, 신체장애노인이 지각한 여가생활 만족의 조절효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 전국 규모로 진행된 2017년도 12차 년도 한국복지패널 자료를 분석에 활용하였고 다중회귀분석을 통해 주요변수 간 영향 관계와 조절효과를 검증하였다. 일상생활 스트레스는 건강관련 스트레스, 재정적 스트레스, 가족관계 스트레스로 세분화하였는데, 세 유형의 스트레스는 모두 우울에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 여가생활 만족은 우울 수준을 낮추는 긍정적인 영향을 보였다. 주요 변수들 중에서 우울에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 여가생활 만족으로 나타났으며 이 요인은 건강관련 스트레스와 가족관계 스트레스가 우울에 미치는 부정적인 영향을 완화시키는 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 노년기 신체장애인의 우울 수준을 완화하기 위한 건강, 가족, 경제 문제로 인한 신체장애노인의 일상생활 스트레스를 경감할 수 있는 기제의 필요성과 신체장애노인이 여가생활을 향유할 수 있도록 여가프로그램 확대, 이동권과 정보접근성 보장 등의 사회복지 실천적, 정책적 함의를 논하였고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study are to examine a) the association between daily hassles and depression, b) the association between leisure satisfaction and depression, and c) a moderating effect of leisure satisfaction on the association between daily hassles and depression. 791 older adults with physical disabilities aged 65 and over were participated as a study target. National representative data of 2017 Korea Welfare Panel Study(the 12th wave) were employed and multiple regression analysis was conducted to analyze the aforementioned three research questions. The daily hassles were composed of health-related stress, financial stress, and family-related stress, and all of which negatively affected depression. Of major variables, leisure satisfaction had the greatest influence on the level of depression. The leisure satisfaction also showed the moderated effect on the association between health-related stress and depression and the association between family-related stress and depression, respectively. Based on the findings, practical and policy implications for alleviating depression of older adults with physical disabilities were discussed and suggestions for future research were further addressed.
