영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to survey the clinical competence of nursing students who have completed all clinical practice in college. Methods: The questionnaire consisted of the 190 task elements in 5 nursing standards specified by Korean Nurses Association(2003). The data were collected from 513 third-year students using questionnaires from September 1st 2010 to October 15th 2010 and were analysed by mean, frequency and percentile using SPSS 10.0. Results: Among the degree of confidence in clinical competence, implementation had the lowest average at 2.70 and diagnosis had the highest average at 3.21. The highest degree of confidence for clinical competence related data collection was checking vital sign, I/O check and the lowest was nursing law followed by geographic characteristics and demographic characteristics. The highest degree of confidence in clinical competence related implementation was support followed by management of admission and discharge and management of information and the lowest was nursing on elimination followed by management of tissue perfusion and management of impaired skin integrity. Conclusions: In conclusion, the degree of confidence for implementation was the lowest in nursing practice. The confidence of nursing implementation was acquired through repeated practice. This study result shows that higher confidence is produced by higher experienced nursing activities.
