놀이 활동 중심의 초등학교 특수학급 수학수업에서 나타난 특수교사의 실천적 지식 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 특수학급에서 놀이 활동 중심의 수학 수업을 실행하는 과정에서 변화하는 교사의 실천적 지식이 무엇이고 그러한 지식이 시사하는 바가 무엇인지 알아보는데 있었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 질적 연구방법론 중 실행연구방법을 적용하였다. 연구참여자는 연구자이자 수업자인 교사 자신과 6명의 학급 학생 그리고 4명의 참여관찰자이다. 이 연구의 결과, 놀이 활동 중심의 수학수업 실행을 통해 교사의 변화된 실천적 지식 범주는 ‘학습집단의 재구성, 소집단 협력학습의 적용’, ‘다양한 학습자의 특성을 고려한 수업으로의 발전’, ‘수업 현장에서 나타나는 교수기술의 반성’, ‘즐겁게 문제를 해결해나가는 자기주도적 수학수업’으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과 놀이 활동 중심의 수학수업은 소집단 협력학습이 주를 이루게 되며 소집단 협력학습 속에서 아동 간 상호작용이 활발히 이루어졌음을 확인하였다. 놀이 활동 중심의 수학 수업을 효과적으로 진행하기 위해서는 학습 집단 구성과 학습자 개인에 대한 정확한 이해가 필요하고 학습자 개개인의 특성에 적합한 활동 자료와 교구를 지원하고 활동 내용과 방법을 다양하게 제시하여야 함을 경험할 수 있었다. 연구자는 반성적 수업실행을 통해 수업 장면에서의 수업기술에 대한 지식을 얻을 수 있었고, 놀이 활동 중심의 수학 수업은 즐거운 분위기, 학습자 주도의 수업 형태, 실생활 속 문제해결 학습이라는 특징을 갖게 됨을 알 수 있었다. 주의할 점으로 수업에 있어 놀이 활동의 목적이 명확해야 하며, 놀이의 활용정도 즉 놀이의 역할이 분명해야한다는 점을 경험 할 수 있었다. 이러한 수업의 실행을 통해 얻은 연구자의 실천적 지식은 교사가 수업전문가로 거듭나는데 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning of Special education teacher’s practical knowledge and the implications it has on the process of Play activity-based math classes. To achieve this purpose active research as a part of qualitative methodology is employed. The subjects are five students with intellectual disability and one student with learning disabilities. The researcher who manages and teaches these students, simultaneously taught a six-year career in special education. In addition, there were four teachers who served as external. In the process both qualitative and quantitative data was gathered. Qualitative data was analyzed using Hangul 2010, Microsoft Excel and manually by Post-it and whole paper. Quantitative data were analyzed through instruction analysis. Based on research findings, these are the conclusions of the study: The teacher s Practical Knowledge had changed. Practical Knowledge with Reconfiguration of the learning group, small group cooperative learning , Considering the characteristics of a variety of learners, the development of classes , and Reflection of the teaching techniques that appear in the classroom setting and Entertained to solve problems, the self-directed math classes on Play activity-based math classes. Reforming the Special Education Teacher s Practical Knowledge and the implications can be summarized as follows: First, Play activity-based math classes mainly are comprised of small scale’s collaborative learning. There is sufficient interaction between students. Second, to conduct play activity-based math classes effectively, a teacher is required to understand the organizing learning groups and measure each individual’s levels accurately. Furthermore, the teacher provides relevant for educational resources and materials related each student s levels. The teacher will introduce new activities and methods. Third, the researcher obtained the practical knowledge while carrying out lessons. These contained language as a medium of instruction, teacher’s behavior, feedback, monitoring, and the function of an assistant. Forth, Play activity-based math classes are characterized by a permissive and pleasant atmosphere, student-directed learning, and problem-solving learning in real life scenario. The purpose of playing activities and the degree of application of play is explained clearly and accurately.
