국문 초록

본 연구는 한국직업능력개발원의 한국교육 고용패널 제10-12차년도 데이터에 대하여 로짓 모형과 OLS, 패널회귀분석을 활용하여 대졸자의 사회적 자본과 취업·임금 간의 관계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 사회적 자본은 대졸자의 취업과 밀접한 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 비공식단체에의 참여는 대졸자의 취업과 정적인 관계를 보이는 반면, 또 다른 사회적 자본 중 하나인 공식단체에의 참여는 대졸자의 취업과 부적인 관계를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 이에 반해 사회적 자본은 대졸자의 임금 수준과 통계적인 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 분석 자료와 모형 상의 제약으로 사회적 자본이 개인의 노동시장 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 인과적인 추정에는 이르지 못한 한계가 있다. 그러나 지금까지 제한적인 수준에서 이루어져 온 사회적 자본의 취업 및 임금효과를 실증적으로 분석함으로써 청년층의 사회적 자본 축적과 관련된 유용한 시사점을 도출하는데 기여하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the relationship between college graduates’ social capital and their employment/income in the labor market. For the purpose, this study utilized the Logit model, Pooled-ols, and multiple Panel regression models exploiting KEEP data of year 2013-2015, which provided comprehensive information of individual college graduates in the Republic of Korea. Our results first showed that college graduates’ social capital is positively related to their employments. To be specific, even though the participation on the unofficial organization is positively related to the status of employment, the participation on the official organization is negatively related to the success of employment. Secondly, this study also found that there was no statistically significant relationship b/w individual graduates’ social capital and their monthly income. On the other hand, college graduates’ human capital was closely related to the amount of monthly income of the employees. Based on the results of this study, we recommended some implications for relieving the importance and effect of college graduates’ social capital in an aspect of labor market.
