중국동포 초등학생의 자아정체감과 진로인식의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 중국동포 초등학생에게 특화된 진로교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료제공을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 중국 연길시 G초등학교 5∼6학년 동포초등학생 446명을 대상으로 수행한 진로인식검사와 자아정체감 검사 결과는 다음의 두 가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, ‘인구통계학적 변인 및 사회경제적 변인에 따라 중국동포 초등학생의 진로인식 하위요인은 차이가 있는가?’에 대한 검증결과는 성별 및 아버지직업에 따라 자기이해, 직업세계 인식, 진로태도 등 진로인식의 모든 하위요인에 차이가 있었으며 학년에 따라 자기이해와 진로태도 영역에서 차이가 있었다. 아버지 학력, 어머니 직업에 따라서는 자기이해 영역에서만 차이가 있었으며 부모 동거여부에 따라서는 진로태도 영역만 차이가 있었다. 하지만 가정형편, 어머니 학력에 따른 진로인식의 하위요인에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, ‘중국동포 초등학생의 자아정체감과 진로인식 하위요인의 관계는 어떠한가?’에 대한 검증결과는 중국동포 초등학생의 자아정체감이 진로인식의 하위요인인 자기이해, 직업세계 인식, 진로태도에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 진로인식의 하위요인별로 차별화된 진로교육이 필요하며 초등학생의 진로인식 제고를 위해 자아정체감의 인지를 적극적으로 북돋아 줄 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The specific aim of this research was to develop a specialized career-education program for Korean-Chinese students registered in elementary school in China. The researcher conducted a survey on 446 students among 5∼6 grade students of G elementary school in Yanji city, China, The results of this study are as follows. First, there were differences in all sub-factors of the career awareness such as gender, self-understanding about parent’s job, recognition on occupation, and career-attitude. Also differences in self-understanding and career-attitude depending on the grade. Furthermore, there were differences in self-understanding depending on father’s academic background and mother’s occupation and difference in career attitude depending on parent’s cohabitation. However, there were no statistically significant differences in the sub-factors of career awareness according to economic level and mother’s educational background. Second, The ego-identity of Korean-Chinese elementary students gives positive effect on the sub-factors of career awareness such as self-understanding, recognition on occupation, and career attitude. The result suggests that more systematic career-orientation would be required for each sub-factor of career recognition. Moreover, it is necessary to encourage them to investigate ego identity to improve the career awareness of Korean-Chinese elementary school students, and it requires active support from China or the Korean government. Consequently, this results show that active support and continuous attention from both governments in South Korea and China are needed.
