국문 초록

중학교 이후의 청소년기 학습부진 및 학습장애 학생들을 이해하는 데는 초등학교 시절과는 매우 다른 차별적 고려가 필요하지만, 중등 학습부진 및 학습장애에 대한 교사의 인식에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구는 중등 학습부진 및 학습장애에 대한 현재 중등 일반교사와 특수교사의 인식은 어떠하며, 현재 학교에서의 지원 실태 및 향후 지원 방안에 대한 의견은 어떠한지 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 교육경력 3년 이상 지닌 중등 일반교사 7명과 특수교사 5명이 참여하였으며, 각각 일반교사와 특수교사 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 별도로 실시하였으며 한 팀당 약 2시간가량 진행되었다. 인터뷰 내용은 질적연구 방법 중 현상학적 분석 방법을 통해 분석하였으며, 중등 학습부진 및 학습장애에 대한 일반교사와 특수교사의 지원 실태, 인식 및 지원 방안에 대한 결과를 각각 도출하였다. 연구결과를 토대로 일반교사와 특수교사의 인식에서의 공통점과 차이점, 향후 중등 학습부진 및 학습장애에 대한 체계적인 지원 수립에 대해 논의하고 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Although it is necessary to differentiate understanding of adolescents with learning difficulties and learning disabilities(LD) compared to elementary students with learning difficulties and LD, it is not enough to understand teachers’ perceptions of adolescents with learning difficulties and LD. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current state of secondary general education teachers ‘and special education teachers’ perceptions of adolescents with learning difficulties and LD. Seven general education teachers and five special education teachers who had more than three years of teaching experience participated. Focus group interviews were held for both general and special education teachers and by about 2 hours in respectively. The contents of the interviews were analyzed through the phenomenological analysis method of qualitative research, and the result of the perceptions, current supports, and future support methods of general and special education teachers about adolescents with learning difficulties and LD were derived. Based on the results of the study, commonalities and differences in the perceptions of general and special education teachers, and the systematic supports of adolescents with learning difficulties and LD for the future were discussed and suggested.
