PBL에 나타난 학습의 재미요소 추출과 상호관계에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학습에 있어서 재미라는 것이 다양하고 복잡한 요인에 의해 결정되며, 인지와 정서의 통합적 작용 속에 학습에 대한 정서적 판단, 인지적 평가로 이해될 수 있다는 관점에서 출발한다. 이번 연구의 목적은 모든 교육활동에 적용하여 이해할 수 있는 학습의 재미요소를 도출하고 이들 간의 상호관계를 드러내어 재미에 대한 새로운 이론적 틀을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 7년 간 PBL을 경험한 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생 234명이 남긴 자료에서 재미와 연관된 자료 1897편을 선정하고 질적 연구방법을 통해 분석하였다. 특히 Nvivo9의 다양한 기능을 적극적으로 활용함으로서 연구의 타당성을 높일 수 있는 과학적이고 체계적인 분석과 범주화가 가능하도록 하였다. 결과적으로 관련성, 친밀감, 만족감, 공동체의식, 주인의식, 기대감, 호기심, 유능감, 자신감, 성취감, 도전성, 창의성, 중독성의 13가지 재미요소를 도출하였고, 이들 재미요소 간의 관계를 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study started from a perspective that fun in learning would be determined by various and complex factors and could be understood as emotional judgment and cognitive assessment for learning in the integrated interactions of cognition and emotion. The purpose of this study was to deduct fun factors in learning that could be applied and understood in every educational activity and reveal their mutual relationships, thus suggesting a new theoretical framework as to fun. To this end, the study selected 234 fifth- and sixth-grade elementary school students who had experienced problem-based learning (PBL) for seven years and identified 1,897 items out of the materials related to fun that they had left. From there, it analyzed the data using a qualitative research method. In particular, active use of various functions of Nvivo9 allowed the researcher to perform scientific and systematic analysis and categorization that could improve the validity of research. The results of the study deducted 13 fun factors, such as relevance, fellowship, satisfaction, a sense of community, ownership, expectation, curiosity, competence, a sense of confidence, accomplishment, challenge, creativity, and addiction, and confirmed the relationships among these fun factors.
