대학 수업 개선을 위한 수업디자인의 새로운 접근 방법 개발 연구 -원인연쇄분석과의 연계를 중심으로-

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 교수들이 자신의 수업을 분석하고 이를 토대로 수업디자인을 할 수 있는 새로운 접근 방법을 개발하고 이를 실제 수업디자인의 사례와 함께 소개하고자 한다. 이를 위해 인지인류학에서 개발된 원인연쇄(causal chains) 분석을 교수들의 수업분석에 적용할 수 있도록 재개발하였다. 이를 Fink(2003)가 개발한 통합적인 12단계의 수업디자인 모델과 연계하여 수업을 개선할 수 있도록 하는 새로운 접근 방법을 개발하였다. 또한 이처럼 재개발한 수업분석법과 수업디자인 방법에 대한 연수 자료를 개발하여, 교수법 연구모임과 10여 차례의 워크숍 및 연구자의 수업에서 적용하면서 참여관찰과 면담을 통하여 수정·보완하는 실행연구(action research)를 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 두 부분으로 제시하였다. 우선 본 연구에서 수업디자인 과정에 연계시킨 수업분석방법 중 특히 중요한 ‘원인연쇄 분석’ 방법을 연수 자료로서 재개발한 결과를 사례와 함께 제시하였다. 다음에는 연수용 자료로서 재개발한 12단계의 수업디자인 절차를 제시하였다. 이는 기존의 절차를 더 구체화하면서 수업에 대한 교수의 참여관찰 결과와 학생 피드백 내용분석, 원인연쇄분석, 결정표 분석, 수업 중 실제학습시간분석 등의 수업분석방법들과 연계시키고, 실제 수업 디자인 사례를 함께 제시한 것이다. 이 연구에서 개발한 수업디자인 방법 및 수업분석법 연수 자료는 앞으로 박사과정에서 교수법 강좌를 운영하게 되거나 그렇지 않더라도 교수와 대학원생을 위한 교수법 워크숍을 운영하게 되는 경우에 교재로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 각 교대와 사대의 교수법 관련 강좌에서도 수업분석 방법이나 수업 디자인 방법에 대해서 지도할 때 참고자료로 사용할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop a new approach in designing a course for the improvement of college teaching. For this purpose,‘causal chain analysis’created in cognitive anthropology was redeveloped to be used for the analysis of teaching. In order to create a new approach in designing a course, this redeveloped causal chain analysis was linked to the Fink(2003)'s 12 phases of designing college courses. An action research was conducted for the development of training material of this new approach. After producing initial materials, the researcher organized a teaching circle with ten other professors in the same university and conducted ten workshops for teachers, professors, researchers, and graduate students. During the workshop, participant observation, informal interviews and brief questionnaire surveys were conducted to get feedback from the participants. Based on the feedback, new cases to apply these methods were developed and the training material was improved. The researcher applied causal chain analysis and the process of designing courses for the improvement of her own courses, and developed the processes of the self-improvement of teaching. The paper introduces the concept of causal chain analysis and matters to be attended to during the process of the analysis. Diverse examples of using the analysis to solve problems or to improve teaching were discussed to show how enormous the potential of the causal chain analysis is. The procedure of designing college courses is introduced together with the use of case of actual course development.
