학업성취, 교사기대 그리고 학업적응과의 관계분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국교육개발원의 한국교육종단연구(KELS) 1~3차년도 데이터를 사용하여 학업 성취가 교사기대와 학업적응에 미치는 인과관계 효과를 탐색하고 있다. 분석 맥락은 학생의 학업성취가 교사기대에 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 그것이 학생의 학업적응에 어떤 영향이 있 는지를 탐색하는 것이다. 분석변수는 중1~중3까지 학업성적, 교사기대, 학업적응이며, 패널데 이터를 사용한 변화추정을 위해 잠재성장모형 분석을 수행하였다. 분석을 위해 사용한 프로 그램은 LISREL8.8이다. 분석결과는 학생의 학업성취는 교사기대의 원천이며, 또한 교사기대는 학생의 학업적응에 영향을 미치는 중요한 매개요인이라는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 즉, 학생의 학업성취 변화는 교 사기대를 변화시키며, 더 나아가 교사-학생 상호작용은 학생의 학업적응에 변화를 가져올 수 있음을 보여주고 있는 것이다. 이러한 결과는 긍정적인 교사-학생 상호작용이 학교교육 목적 을 달성에 중요한 요인이라는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of teacher's expectation, and student's academic adjustment on academic achievement. This study utilized the data (Korea Educational Longitudinal Study) collected for three years to show whether or not student's academic achievement has positive relation with teacher's expectation and student's academic adjustment. The variables used for this study were junior high school grades, teacher's expectation and academic adjustment. A latent growth model was used for the analysis by using panel data and the statistical method employed for data analysis was LISREL8.8. The result of this study showed that teacher's expectation and evaluation were directly related to academic adjustment as well as academic achievement and the former is the source and an important factor of the latter. That is, student's academic achievement makes changes in teacher's expectation and furthermore, interactions between teacher and student in academic adjustment. The findings indicated that teacher's expectation were directly related to academic adjustment as well as academic achievement. So, this result was meaningful in that it would be able to provide the information about exploring positive interaction between teachers and students for enrich schooling.
