아이즈너 이론의 주요 개념에 나타난 질적, 예술적 특성

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 아이즈너의 ‘표현적 결과’, ‘표상의 형식’‘감식안’, ‘교육비평’, ‘영교 육과정’, ‘기예와 예술로서의 수업’이라는 주요 개념들을 중심으로 아이즈너의 질적 접근과 예 술적 접근의 특성을 고찰하였다. 주요 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘표현적 결과’는, 미술을 포함 한 예술 활동에서 미리 어떤 경험이나 느낌을 가질 것인지 사전에 목표를 정할 수 없고 활동을 한 후 결과를 얻는 것처럼, 교육에서도 표현적 활동 후에 표현적 결과를 얻게 됨에 착안한 것이 다. 따라서 표현적 결과 는 그의 예술적 경험과 사고가 반영되어 있는 개념이며, 경험과학적, 양 적인 접근이 아니라 질적 접근에 따라 탄생된 것이라고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, ‘표상의 형식’이란 교육상황에서 각자의 개인적이고 특별한 느낌과 생각, 정서적 경험 및 상황을 잘 표현해 낼 수 있 는 청각, 시각, 신체, 혹은 수학기호나 언어와 같은 표현의 전달매체를 의미한다. 이는 감각성과 예술성을 대표해 주는 개념이다. 셋째, 아이즈너는 ‘감식안’을 통해 교육상황을 질적으로 포착 하고 해석하여 그 대상에게 가치를 부여하여 묘사해낼 필요가 있다고 하면서, 이를 통한 ‘교육비 평’을 제안하였다. ‘교육비평 은 ‘기술’, ‘해석’, ‘평가’의 단계를 거쳐, 교육현상에 대해 교육적 의미와 가치를 알려 주게 된다. ‘교육비평 의 질적 서술과 평가방법은 질적 연구방법으로 확산된다. 넷째, 아이즈너는 ‘영교육과정’과 ‘예술, 기예로서의 수업’에 대한 개념을 제시함으 로써, 우리가 간과하고 잃어버린 교육의 내재적 측면, 실생활에서 요구되지만 놓쳐버린 교육내용 의 측면을 일깨워 주었으며, 실제 수업 현장에서 이루어지는 다양한 사고와 감성의 교류, 행위들 을 감각적으로, 예술적으로, 질적으로 표현할 수 있게 해 주었다.

영문 초록

In this research, The characteristics of Eisner s qualitative approach and artistic approach were examined focusing on major concepts, ‘expressive results’, ‘forms of representation , ‘educational connoisseurship , ‘criticism’, ‘null curriculum . First, we can not set a goal in advance as to what kind of experience and feelings through class activities. So we will get ‘expressive results’ after performing expressive activities. ‘Expressive results’is a concept that reflects his artistic experience and thinking, and was done based on a qualitative approach. Secondly, the ‘forms of representation can shows personal special emotions and thoughts auditory, visually, physically, mathematically, or linguistically. It is a concept representing sensibility and artistic value. Thirdly, Eisner proposes ‘educational criticism, through this, while stating that it is necessary to qualitatively capture and analyze the situation of education through ‘educational connoisseurship , to give value to the object and to describe it. Criticism of education teaches the meaning and value of education about educational phenomena through the stage of ‘description , ‘interpretation and ‘evaluation . The method of qualitative description and evaluation of educational criticism is spread by qualitative research method. Fourth, by presenting the concept of ‘null curriculum and ‘classes as art , Eisner remind us the inherent aspects of education that we lost by overlooking the aspects of educational content that are needed in real life but have been missed. It made it possible to express the various thoughts and feelings of class members sensibly, artistically and qualitatively.
