북한 동요 분석을 통한 통일대비 유아음악교육 방안 고찰

국문 초록

현 시대는 통일에 대비하여 교육의 다양한 영역에서 교수내용 구축을 필요로 한다. 최근 교육과학기술부는 유치원 교육과정 운영지원을 위한 유아통일교육 프로그램을 개발하여 현장에 보급한 바 있다. 그러나 통일교육자료 개발의 역사가 짧아서인지 유아음악교육자료는 포함되지 않았으므로 본 연구에서는 북한동요를 수집하여 분석하여 통일대비 유아음악교육자료를 구축하고자 북한을 떠나와 대한민국에 정착한 새터민 6인과의 면담과 그들이 추천하는 인터넷 검색을 통하여 북한동요 26곡을 수집하였다. 수집자료는 음악적 특징, 노랫말, 활용방법에 따라 분석되었고 분석의 결과 새터민이 제공한 북한동요는 다장조, 4/4박자, 마디수가 불규칙한 비형식적인 곡, 노랫말 주제가 유아의 일상생활과 동심의 세계와 거리가 먼 체재유지를 위한 사상교육 주목적의 곡, 그리고 가창에 활용하기보다 편곡하여 합주이나 춤 활동을 위한 반주곡으로 활용하는 점이 특징으로 밝혀졌다. 이상의 결과를 통하여 북한에서는 동요가 유아의 일상생활을 통한 유아발달이나 유아의 음악성 발달을 위한 교육적 소재가 아니며 일반적인 동요의 개념을 벗어나 비교육적으로 취급되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 남한의 유아교사교육에 남북한 동요의 특성 차이가 반영되어 차이에 대한 인식과 수용 그리고 이해를 통하여 유아동요를 유아음악교육 목표에 맞도록 선별하는 태도를 선양함으로써 통일시대에 닥칠 교육적 충격을 완화할 수 있는 대비책을 마련하는데 본 연구의 의의를 둔다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to collect children’s songs of North Korea and to analyse them in order to make North and South Korean teachers know the differences of children s songs, as a way of reunification preparation through music education. Interview was conducted with five adults and one child whom migrated from North Korea to South Korea. To collect the data, they were asked to introduce songs from their childhood or songs are sung in present time in North Korea. Also, the researcher visited the related internet sites to get the additional data. As a result, 26 songs were analyzed according to the musical characteristics, song themes and the ways of utilization. C major, 4/4 meter, cardinal numbers of total length of measures were the representative musical characteristics. Different from song titles, song themes were dealing with political issues instead of children s daily life or personal thoughts and feeling. And most songs were accompanied by accordion and organ. From this study, it was concluded that songs of North Korean children s songs were differ from those of South Korea in terms of musical characteristics, song themes and the ways of utilization. These imply that preschool teachers need to know these different children s music educational contents and to apply those differences to reality as a way of overcome of the cultural as well as educational differences between South and North Korea in the days of reunification. From the findings, it was suggested that research needs on children’s song repertoire, teaching method and auxiliarly materials for children s musical development were requested. This may be a good way to prepare reunification in practical teaching setting of children.
