초등 국악교육을 위한 경기민요 시김새 연구

국문 초록

시김새는 국악 선율의 유연한 흐름과 화려함, 멋스러움 등을 위하여 음악에 부여되는 표현 기법이다. 특히 민요에 나타나는 시김새는 그 지방의 음악적 특징을 나타내 주는 중요한 역할을 한다. 따라서 민요수업에 있어 지역에 특징적인 시김새 지도는 민요를 이해하는 가장 중심적인 내용이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 음악 교과서 경기민요 제재곡을 중심으로 음계에 따른 시김새를 분석하여 초등학교 국악교육을 위한 주요 시김새의 유형을 살펴보고, 그에 따른 경기민요 시김새 지도를 위한 내용체계를 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 결과 초등 국악교육을 위한 경기민요의 주요 시김새 지도 유형으로 ‘굴리는 소리’, ‘꺾어 내리는 소리’, ‘꺾어 올리는 소리’, ‘오르내리는 소리’, ‘흐르는 소리’, ‘채는 소리’, ‘잘게 떠는 소리’를 선정하고 그에 따른 학습 내용체계를 제시하였다. 이러한 연구는 국악교육에서의 경기민요 시김새 지도를 위한 구체적인 지침을 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Sigimsae is the expressive technique provided to music in order to create the flexible flow of melodies in Korean traditional music and also its splendidness and sophistication. In particular, sigimsae expressed in folk songs plays crucial roles in highlighting musical features of a certain region. Therefore, the teaching of sigimsae distinctive in a certain region regarding teaching folk songs is the most nuclear part to understand folk songs. Thereupon, this study aims to analyze sigimsae according to the scale centering around the Gyeonggi folk songs contained in music textbooks in order to examine the major types of sigimsae for elementary Korean traditional music education and also investigate the contents system to teach Gyeonggi folk song sigimsae based on that. As the research result, the article selected as the chief types of teaching sigimsae of Gyeonggi folk songs for elementary Korean traditional music education ‘gulrineun sori (the expression made by rolling the sound that is one tone upper or lower softly)’, ‘ggeokeo naerineun sori (the expression created by making the sound that is higher than the original tone and then drawing it down rapidly)’, ‘ggeokeo olineun sori (the expression made by pulling a lower to upper tone promptly)’, ‘oreunaerineun sori (the expression made by either raising or lowering the tone in a fixed interval)’, ‘heureuneun sori (the expression made by lowering the tone as if it flows)’, ‘chaeneun sori (the expression made by raising the tone fast as if it is snatched)’, and ‘jalge ddeoneun sori (the expression made by subtle vibration)’ and then suggested the system of learning contents according to it. This study is significant in that it provides the concrete guideline to teach sigimsae of Gyeonggi folk songs regarding Korean traditional music education.
