국문 초록

본 연구는 텍스트 네트워크 분석을 활용하여, 최근 20년간 인문학과 기술 융합을 적극적으로 추진해온 5개국(한국, 미국, 일본, 대만, 중국)의 인문학-기술 융합지원 사업을 비교·분석하였다. 이를 통해국가별 추진 전략과 특성을 도출하고, 우리나라 융합연구 발전에 필요한 방향성을 제시하였다. 기존연구에서는 두 가지 측면에서 한계가 드러난다. 먼저, 융합연구 관점에서 단일 국가 차원에서만인문학·기술 융합의 특성과 효과가 분석되어, 국가 간 비교 연구가 많지 않았다. 둘째, 산업화 측면에서는 트리플 헬릭스 모델(Triple Helix Model)을 적용한 연구가 주를 이루었는데, 대학·산업·정부라는핵심 주체의 역할에만 초점을 맞춤으로써 인문학과 기술 융합을 포함하는 다양한 분석방법의 적용이부족하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해, 융합연구 및 정부 재정지원이 활발한 5개국의추진 사업들을 국제적으로 비교·분석하였다. 또한, 트리플 헬릭스 모형 속 핵심 주체의 고유 역할을재조명하고, 대학-기술, 산업-시장, 정부-인문학 등 세 가지 경로를 통한 혁신 창출이라는 새로운개념을 제시하였다. 이 경로들이 유기적으로 연결될 때, 융합 학문의 발전과 정부 지원사업의 구체적변화가 어떻게 일어나는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 인문학-기술 융합은 단순히 학문적 진화를 넘어사회 변화와 혁신을 이끄는 주요 동력임이 드러났다. 이는 인문학과 기술 융합 환경의 구축 및정부 재정확보, 정부-기업-대학 간 협력환경 조성, 기술진보와 사회문제 해결을 위한 다학제적 연구분야의 발전을 촉진한다는 함의를 제공한다. 동시에, 각국의 정책 효과를 실증적으로 검증하고, 융합성과를 측정할 평가 지표를 개발할 필요성도 확인하였다. 인문학과 기술 융합의 다학제 연구는 이러한 요구에 따라 현재 활발히 진행 중이다. 따라서, 국가적 부가가치 창출과 경제성장 견인차로서인문학·기술 융합이 중추적인 역할을 하기 위해서는 산업화·시장 중심의 다양한 연구주제 발굴과정부 지원의 확대가 더욱 요구된다.

영문 초록

This study uses text network analysis to examine humanities-technology convergence support programs over the past 20 years in five countries—South Korea, the United States, Japan, Taiwan, and China. Based on the findings, the study derives common strategies and national characteristics to propose directions for the development of convergence research in Korea. Existing research has not sufficiently compared convergence activities across nations, nor has it employed analytical approaches beyond the Triple Helix model—which primarily focuses on the roles of universities, industries, and governments. In response, this study introduces a new concept of innovation through three interconnected pathways: university-technology, industry-market, and government-humanities. By analyzing these five countries that have actively conducted convergence research and provided funding, we examine how their efforts have influenced both convergence studies and government support. The results indicate that humanities-technology convergence drives social change and innovation, offering useful implications for developing convergence-friendly environments, securing funding, enhancing collaboration, and promoting multidisciplinary research to advance technology and solve complex problems. However, this study has certain limitations: it lacks a thorough empirical evaluation of policy effects and highlights the need for better convergence performance indicators, necessitating further in-depth research. As multidisciplinary research in this area continues to grow, we anticipate an expansion of research topics focusing on industrialization and market trends, alongside increased government funding. These efforts will ultimately enhance national added value and spur economic growth.
