국문 초록

Purpose - As the Korean population declines and the regional depopulation crisis intensifies, this study aims to suggest various policies and ideas using Importance-Effectiveness Analysis (IEA) to attract living populations (including tourists, workers, and others) to depopulated areas. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study derived questions related to depopulation and regional extinction from existing literature and classified them into five categories to analyze the importance and effectiveness of policies and ideas in each area. Findings - The analysis results of the sectoral measures to overcome depopulation and regional extinction, including a t-test analysis of policy development, administrative support, tourist incentives, expanded support for tied farmers and villagers, relationship and living population expansion, job support for retirees (prudent age), and tourist visits between regions, show significant differences (p<0.001) in both importance (I) and effectiveness (E). Research Implications - Based on the results of this study, local governments, such as cities, counties, and districts, should prepare individual or customized measures to address depopulation, and should make continuous efforts to further improve the effectiveness of individual policies.
