국문 초록

기후변화 대응을 위해 에너지 전환과 에너지 분권이 강조됨에 따라 에너지 정책 수립에 있어서도 지역의 에너지신산업 여건 분석이 중요해지고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 에너지신산업의 분류체계를 도출하고, 사업체의 주사업내용 분석을 접목한 산업밸류체인 분석 방법론을 활용해 에너지신산업 규모와 지리적 분포 특성을 분석하였다. 국내 에너지신산업 종사업체의 90% 이상이 에너지 공급 단계에 집중되는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 에너지 수급 체계 효율화를 위해 에너지 전달 및 에너지 수요 단계의 산업육성과 기술혁신 지원 강화가 필요함을 시사한다. 수도권의 에너지신산업 집적지에서는 하위지역 간 다양한 기능의 분화가 관찰된다. 반면 비수도권 중소도시 지역의 에너지신산업 집적지는 재생에너지 발전 및 공급 부문에 치중되는 경향이 있어 지역 내 에너지 수요와 공급 균형 확보, 다양한 업종과의 연계를 통한 지역산업생태계의 안정성 강화 등이 요구된다.

영문 초록

With the emphasis on energy transition and decentralization, there is a great need to establish energy policies based on the analysis of local new energy industry (NEI) environment. This paper aims to derive the classification system of the domestic NEI and analyze the size and spatial distribution of the industry by the stage of energy flow and industrial value chain. By analyzing text data on establishments’ main business item, establishments engaged in the business related to energy supply, transfer, and demand are extracted. Main findings are as follows. First, more than 90% of businesses in NEI are concentrated in the energy supply stage. This implies that in order to streamline the energy supply and demand system, it is necessary to strengthen the support for industrial development and technological innovation in the energy transfer and energy demand stages. Second, NEI clusters in non-metropolitan areas tend to be focused on the renewable energy generation and supply sectors, which requires securing the balance of energy supply and demand in the region and strengthening the stability of the local industrial ecosystem through linkages with various industries.
