코로나19 팬데믹 상황에서 코로나19 백신접종 의도 결정 요인 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 코로나19 팬데믹이 지속되고 코로나19 백신 접종을 바로 앞둔 시점에서 백신접종 의도에영향을 미치는 요인을 인구사회학적 요인(성별, 연령대, 거주지역, 정치적 성향), 위험원으로서 코로나19 에 대한 인식(위험인식, 낙관적 편견, 주관적 규범), 코로나19에 대한 행위(정보추구행위, 예방행위)를중심으로 살펴보고자 했다. 자료 수집은 국내에서 코로나19 백신접종이 시작되기 직전인 2021년 2월9일부터 2월 14일까지 6일 동안 온라인 설문조사 방법으로 진행되었다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 백신접종 의도에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 연령대, 거주지역, 낙관적 편견으로 나타났다. 즉, 연령대가높을수록, 거주지역이 비수도권일수록, 낙관적 편견은 낮을수록 백신접종 의도는 높게 나타났다. 이와같은 연구 결과는 위험원으로서 코로나19와 같은 감염병에 대한 백신접종은 위험원에 대한 인식과행동보다는 개인의 속성에 의해 영향을 받는다고 해석될 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 향후 팬데믹 상황에서효율적인 백신접종을 위한 실무적 함의를 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study examined the factors influencing the COVID-19 vaccination intention, considering demographic factors (gender, age group, residential area, political orientation), individual risk perception, optimistic bias, subjective norms, preventive behaviors, and information-seeking behaviors. Data were collected through an online survey from February 9, 2021 to February 14, right before starting the COVID-19 vaccination. The findings are as follows: Age group, residential area, and optimistic bias were identified as factors influencing the COVID-19 vaccination intention. Higher age groups, non-metropolitan residential areas, and lower levels of optimistic bias were associated with the higher COVID-19 vaccination intention. Individual risk perception and subjective norms were found to have no significant effects on the COVID-19 vaccination intention. These findings suggest that the COVID-19 vaccination intention is influenced more by individual attributes than by the perception of risk during a pandemic like COVID-19. The results provide practical implications to design effective vaccination strategies for the future similar pandemic circumstances.
