국문 초록

본 연구는 학령기 경계선 지적기능(borderline intellectual functioning, BIF) 아동에 대한 언어재활사의 중재 경험을 탐색함으로써 이들의 언어 재활 서비스 향상을 위한 실제적인 정보를 얻고자 하였다. 이를 위해 언어재활사 10명을 대상으로 개별 심층 면담을 진행하고 자료를 수집한 다음 질적 연구 방법론 중 하나인 근거이론으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 81개의 개념과 21개의 하위범주 및 12개의 범주가 도출되었으며, 학령기 BIF 아동에 대한 언어재활사의 경험은 ‘중재 영역에 대한 고민’을 중심축으로 전개되었다. 중심현상을 일으키는 인과적 요인은 ‘한계 인식’, ‘부모 요구’, ‘우선순위’로 나타났으며, 중심현상에 영향을 주는 맥락적 요인은 ‘경계선 지능을 바라보는 관점’으로 나타났다. 중심현상의 해결에 영향을 미치는 중재적 조건에는 ‘부모의 수용 정도’가 작용하였고, 중심현상을 해결하는 전략은 ‘중재 목표설정’이었다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to obtain practical information that would improve language rehabilitation services for school-aged borderline intellectual functioning (BIF) children by exploring the intervention experiences of speech language pathologists. To this end, we conducted in-depth one-on-one interviews with ten speech language pathologists, collecting and analyzing the data using grounded theory, one of the qualitative research methodologies. As a result of the study, we identified 81 concepts, 21 subcategories, and 12 categories. Speech language pathologist’s experience with school-age BIF children was developed around “consideration about the intervention area”. Causal factors of the central phenomenon included “recognition of limits,” “parent needs,” and “priority.” The contextual factors affecting central phenomenon included “views of borderline intelligence.” The “degree of parental acceptance” played a role in the interventional condition that affects resolution of the central phenomenon, and the strategy to resolve the central phenomenon was “setting an intervention goal.”
