중등 영재학생들의 GSP를 활용한 내분삼각형 넓이의 일반화

국문 초록

본 연구는 내분삼각형 넓이의 일반화에 대한 탐구 과정에서 GSP가 영재학생들의 기하학적 원리와 개념의 이해를 어떻게 돕고, 일반화 과정에서 시각화한 내용을 어떻게 논리적으로 전개하는가에 대하여 탐구하였다. 이를 위하여 M대학교 과학영재교육원 중등수학 심화과정에 있는 학생 4명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여, 학생들이 삼각형의 각 변을 으로 내분하는 점을 연결하여 만든 삼각형의 넓이와 기존의 삼각형 넓이 사이의 규칙성을 탐구하고 이를 일반화하는 과정에서 수집된 디지털 오디오 녹취물, 학생 활동을 촬영한 비디오 녹화자료와 학생활동지를 서로 연계하여 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, GSP를 활용한 시각화는 수학 영재학생들이 기하학적 원리와 개념을 직관적으로 이해하고 다양한 사례를 검증하여 일반화하는데 도움을 주고, 귀납적 추론 능력과 분석적이고 연역적인 추론 능력을 계발하는데 도움을 준다. 둘째, GSP를 활용한 교수·학습은 수학 영재학생들에게 능동적인 탐구활동을 조장하고 수학적인 개념의 확장이나 사고의 확산에 긍정적인 역할을 한다. 셋째, GSP를 활용한 수학영재 교수·학습은 수업에 소극적인 태도를 보인 학생에게 수업에 적극적으로 참여하도록 함으로써 수학에 대한 흥미와 태도, 자신의 능력에 대한 믿음, 자기 신뢰감 등과 관련된 수학적 과제 집착력을 발현하게 한다.

영문 초록

This study investigates how the GSP helps gifted and talented students understand geometric principles and concepts during the inquiry process in the generalization of the internal triangle, and how the students logically proceeded to visualize the content during the process of generalization. Four mathematically gifted students were chosen for the study. They investigated the pattern between the area of the original triangle and the area of the internal triangle with the ratio of each sides on : respectively. Digital audio, video and written data were collected and analyzed. From the analysis the researcher found four results. First, the visualization used the GSP helps the students to understand the geometric principles and concepts intuitively. Second, the GSP helps the students to develop their inductive reasoning skills by proving the various cases. Third, the lessons used GSP increases interest in apathetic students and improves their mathematical communication and self-efficiency.
