초등학교 수학 학습 어려움 진단을 위한 평가 문항 개발 및 적용 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 학생들이 겪는 수학 학습 어려움과 오개념을 진단하기 위해 평가 문항을 개발하고, 전국 초등학교 3~6학년 학생 675명에게 적용한 결과를 분석하였다. 평가 문항 개발 과정, 평가 문항의 신뢰도 및 타당도 검사 과정, 현장 적용 과정 및 분석 결과를 본 고에서 공유하고, 연구 결과를 통해 학교 현장에서의 수학 교수·학습 지원 방안에 시사점을 도출하였다. 또한 본 연구는 코로나19 감염증의 장기화 및 뉴노멀 시대의 비대면 학습 환경에서의 본 연구 결과인 수학 학습 어려움 및 오개념 진단 평가 문항의 활용 방안과 교육 정책에 제언을 주고자 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop an assessment to diagnose difficulties in learning mathematics and misconstructions that elementary students have. With thorough theoretical background and analysis of mathematics curriculum documents, we established learning trajectories for the following content areas in grades 3 to 6: number and operation, regularity, data and probability, geometry, and measurement. Then, the research team created the assessment items targeting a specific stage in the learning trajectories and including item options to identify possible misconceptions. Based on the unified validity theory, we report the detailed procedure of the assessment development and the evidence for the content, substance, and structural validity of the assessment. We collected the data of 675 elementary students. Rasch measurement modeling was applied, and Cronbach’s alpha was estimated. We considered how to report students’ assessment results to teachers appropriately and immediately, which suggested important implications for supporting teaching and learning mathematics in elementary schools. We also suggest how to use the assessment developed in this study in online and distance learning environments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
