수학과 교육과정의 변화에 따른 수학적 모델링 제시 방법 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 수학과 교육과정의 변화에 따라서 초등학교 3,4학년 수학교과서의 수학적 모델링 제시 방법을 분석하고, 수학적 모델링 관점에서 앞으로 우리가 지향해야 할 교과서 개발의 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석의 틀은 김민경(2010)이 수학적 모델링 관점에서 제시한 Mathematics in Context[MiC]와 우리나라 초등수학교과서의 분석 기준을 예비조사를 통해 적용한 후, 수정·보완하여 우리나라 교과서에 대한 분석 기준으로 사용하였다. 연구 결과 7차 교육과정에서 2009 개정 교육과정에 의한 수학교과서로 변화하면서 수학적 모델링의 관점에서 볼 때, 실세계 맥락의 상황 제시는 ≪확률과 통계≫를 제외한 모든 영역에서 증가하였고, 수학적 모델의 표현 방법은 ≪규칙성≫을 제외한 전 영역에서 표현 방법이 다양해졌으며, 의사소통에 있어서는 ≪규칙성≫영역을 제외한 모든 영역에서 유형이 다양화되고 빈도가 증가하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 교과서 개발에서 고려해야 할 부분을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematical modeling according to the ways of presentations of mathematical modeling in the third and fourth grade mathematics textbooks in accordance with changing of Korean mathematics curricula. In the preliminary analysis, the researchers applied the criteria that Kim(2010) analyzed Mathematics in Context[MiC], and South Korean textbooks from the perspective of mathematical modeling, to multiplication and division in the fourth grade number and operation areas. The researchers revised them to use as the analysis criteria among South Korean elementary mathematics textbooks and employed them as the analysis framework of the present study. On the basis of the results from this study, we found that there were significant changes in suggesting contexts, representing mathematical modeling, and communication, and suggested implications for the development of future mathematics textbooks.
