영문 초록

The main purpose of this paper is to describe how Canadian Studies are taught in Japanese universities. First an overview of the situation of Canadian Studies is presented with a focus on the role of the Japanese Association for Canadian Studies (JACS) in Japan and the impact of the termination of the funding from Canada. The main section deals with how the author teaches Canadian Studies in her institution revealing some details of the curriculum and her teaching method. The paper concludes with some thoughts about the future of Canadian Studies in Japan emphasizing that JACS is needed in Japan and continues to be active.
