국문 초록

본 논문에서는 칼 필립 엠마누엘 바흐 공직의 초기에 함부르크에서 있었던 이 오라토리오의 역사적 배경과 생성 동기, ‘콘서트 오라토리오’의 개념이 서술되고 바흐의 진술이 주목되어 고찰된다. 더욱이 바흐가 공헌한 음악의 혁신적인 부분이 무엇인지, 다음세대에 어떤 영향을 끼쳤는지 규명된다. 또한 합창, 레치타티보, 아리아, 중창 그리고 코랄의 음악적 분석이특징들과 함께 구체적으로 제시되고 이를 통해 드러난 바흐의 음악스타일과 음언어가 도출되며 그의 음악의 새로운 혁신으로 빈 고전주의에서 계승될 원리가 제시된다. 계속해서 악기편성과 장식음, 다이내믹, 화성의 진행 그리고 전조가 이 오라토리오에서 새로운 표현으로이끌어주게 되는 그의 음악의 독창성이 제시된다. 바흐는 ⟪광야에서의 이스라엘인⟫을 교회에서 예배음악으로서 뿐만 아니라 교회 밖에서 초교파적인 공공 연주음악으로 준비하여틀을 마련하고 더 나아가 19세기의 공공 ‘콘서트오라토리오’가 자리 잡는데 바로크와 빈고전주의 시대를 연결한 중계자로서 다리 역할을 한다. 이스라엘인들의 드라마적인 극심한 광야생활은 글로벌하고 다문화한 초현대에도 교훈으로 적용되어 재조명되므로 이 작품은 세상을관조하는 명상적인 소통하는 공공 종교 예술 연주음악으로 기여한다.

영문 초록

This paper describes the historical background of the oratorio which existed in Hamburg in theearly times of the public office of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, the motivation of his composition,and the concept of “concert oratorio,” and attentively examines his statements. Moreover, it willbe defined what innovational parts of Bach’s were and how it influenced on the next generation. Presented also were choruses, recitativo, aria, vocal ensembles, and music analyses of choral alongwith their characteristics, through which Bach’s music style and music language will be induced,and the principles that will be succeeded from Vienna Classics as a new innovation of his musicwill be presented. Continuously presented is the originality of his music in which selecting musicalinstruments, decorative melodies, dynamics, the progression of the harmony and modulations areled by means of the new expression of this oratorio. Bach made ⟪The Israelites in the Desert⟫ aparadigm not only for worship music in the churches but also for interdenominational publicperformance music. Moreover, he became the bridge which played a mediatory role betweenBaroque and Vienna Classical periods in the 19th century. Since the dramatically intensive life ofIsraelites in the desert is applied even to the post modern era that is global and multi-cultural as alesson which could be re-examined, this work makes a contribution as public religious artisticperformance music which contemplatively and meditatively communicates with the world.
