국문 초록

해방 이후, 동아시아 지역의 인구 재편이 진행되면서, 중국 국민정부는 집중수용 집단귀환의 정책 하에 상해항을 한인 귀환의 주요 통로로 지정한다. 상해 지역 한인의 귀환은 그 규모와 귀환정책 등에 따라 크게 ‘귀환준비단계’, ‘집단귀환단계’, ‘개별귀환단계’로 나뉜다. 귀환준비단계에는 임정요인 29인의 귀환이 이루어졌으며, 집단귀환단계에는 1,500~5,000명의 규모로 10여 차례 귀환이 이루어진다. 이후 개별귀환단계에는 100~500명의 규모로 대폭 축소된다. 한국 언론은 이와 관련하여, 항로, 선박명, 출발일자와 도착일자, 탑승인원 및 주요 인물 등 다양한 사실을 한국에 알렸음은 물론, 상해에서의 한인들의 곤궁한 삶과 한국으로 돌아온 이후 겪게 되는 어려움 등을 이슈화한다. 또한 인구의 이동에 따라 한국에 전파된 전염병(호열자)에 대해서도 상세하게 보도한다. 이 같은 한국 언론의 기사는 현재 발굴된 사료만으로는 밝히기 어려운 상해지역 한인의 귀환의 전체 모습을 보다 선명하게 그릴 수 있는 단초가 된다.

영문 초록

After the Liberation, the population of East Asia was newly formed. At this time, the People's Party of China's government implemented a policy called “collective return to concentration,” and designated Shanghai Port as the main channel for the return of Koreans. The return of Koreans to Shanghai is largely divided into “return preparation stage,” “group return stage,” and “individual return stage,” depending on the size and policy. In the return preparation stage, 29 key figures from the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea will return. During the group return stage, 1,500 to 5,000 people will move to Korea about 10 times. Afterwards, the number of employees will be reduced to 100 to 500 during the individual return stage. In connection with the news of the return of Koreans from Shanghai to Korea, the Korean media informed Korea of various facts, including the route, ship name, departure date and arrival date, number of people aboard and key figures. It also issues the poor lives of Koreans in Shanghai and the difficulties they face after returning to Korea. It also reports in detail on the outbreak of cholera, an infectious disease spread to Korea as the population moves. Such an article by the Korean media is the basis for a clearer picture of the entire return of Koreans in Shanghai, which is difficult to reveal with only the currently excavated feed.
