영문 초록

In order to understand the reality of “GuoYu(國語)” used by Taiwanese people, we conducted surveys and face-to-face interviews with 24 Taiwanese students studying in Korea, And a comparative analysis method was adopted. In addition, we used the method of asking the interviewees about the actual state of “GuoYu(國語)” of the grandparents 'generations and their parents' generations in order to understand the usage patterns of the “GuoYu(國語)” in Taiwan. As a result of this study, there was a remarkable difference between the “GuoYu(國語)” used by the Taiwanese youths and “PuTongHua(普通話)” of mainland China with the various elements such as pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and utterance habits. However, Taiwanese young people are embracing Taiwanese “GuoYu(國語)” as a means of communicating with various ethnic groups, and considered it as the key to maintain mutual cooperation despite the differences in the standard language of the Cross-strait between Mainland China and Taiwan.
