국문 초록

이 논문에서는 코로나19 팬데믹으로 공연, 전시, 스포츠 경기의 현장관람이 감소하고, 원격관람이 증가하며 나타난 관람형태의 변화와 특징을 현장감의 크기를 중심으로 고찰하는 것이 목적이다. 팬데믹의 시기별 양상에 따른 관람형태의 변화를 살펴보기 위해 팬데믹 이전의 현장관람과 코로나19 팬데믹이 기승을 부리던 2020년에 알려진 비대면 원격관람 그리고 2021년부터 백신접종 완료자들을 중심으로 이루어진 현장관람과 원격관람의 병행으로 구분하였다. 한편, 스포츠 경기의 생중계는 팬데믹 이전부터 보편적이었고, 공연분야에서는 실황중계가 있었지만, 전시, 박람회의 원격관람은 팬데믹으로 알려졌다. 이러한 관람문화에서의 현장감의 크기는 공간적 공존, 시간적 동시성, 관람방법에 따라 위계를 갖는다. 현장관람은 경제적 비용과 시간적 여유가 있는 소수에게 허용되므로 문화자본의 역할도 하지만, 현장관람에서 보기가 어려운 증강현실을 활용한 특수효과와 스포츠 경기에서의 비디오 판독 등이 늘면서 현장관람과 원격관람의 지위에는 차츰 변화가 생기고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the changes and characteristics of viewing patterns that have occurred as the number of on-site performances, exhibitions, and sporting events decreased and remote viewing increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the size of the liveness. In order to examine the change in viewing patterns according to the temporal aspects of the pandemic, site visits before the pandemic, non-face-to-face remote viewing in 2020, and parallel on-site and remote viewing, centered on those who completed vaccinations from 2021. Live broadcasting of sporting events was common before the pandemic, and although performances were broadcast live, remote viewing of exhibitions and expositions was known as a pandemic. The size of the liveness in this viewing culture has a hierarchy according to spatial coexistence, temporal simultaneity, and viewing method. On-site audiences are allowed only to a few who can afford the economic cost and time, so they play the role of cultural capital. However, as the number of special effects using augmented reality, which is difficult to see in on-site viewing, and video assistant referees in sports events are increasing, the status of on-site viewing and remote viewing is gradually changing.
