본 연구에서는 한국아동청소년패널조사(KCYPS 2018)의 중학교 1학년 패널의 1차년도 자료를 사용하여 중학생의 그릿(Grit)과 이들이 지각하는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도가 창의적 성격에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 그리고 이 과정에서 학업열의가 매개역할을 하는지 확인하였다. 연구대상은 전국 162개 중학교에 재학중인 남학생 1,405명과 여학생 1,185명으로 총 2,590명이며, 연구모형의 검증에 구조방정식 모형을 적용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 그릿은 창의적 성격과 학업열의에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 학업열의는 창의적 성격에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 그릿은 학업열의를 매개로 창의적 성격에 간접효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 청소년이 지각하는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도는 자녀의 창의적 성격과 학업열의에 대해 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그리고 청소년의 창의적 성격에 정적인 영향을 주는 그릿과 학업열의를 강화할 수 있는 교육과 훈련에 대해 논의하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

In this study, we tried to examine how middle school students' grit and their perceived parents' positive parenting attitude affect creative personality using the first-year data of the middle school first wave panel of the Korea Children and Adolescents Panel Survey(KCYPS 2018). And it was confirmed whether academic engagement plays a mediating role in this model. The subjects of the study were 1,405 male students and 1,185 female students enrolled in 162 middle schools nationwide, totaling 2,590 students, and a structural equation model was applied to verify the research model. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that adolescents' grit had a positive effect on creative personality and academic engagement. Second, academic engagement of adolescents was found to have a positive effect on creative personality. Third, it was found that grit had an indirect effect on creative personality through academic engagement. Fourth, parents' positive parenting attitude perceived by adolescents did not have a significant effect on their children's creative personality and academic engagement. In addition, we discussed education and training that can strengthen grit and academic engagement which have a positive effect on the creative personality of adolescents. Finally, we presented the limitations of this study and suggestions for follow-up studies.
