국문 초록

이 논문에서 우리는는 코로나 19 이전까지 마르크스주의 경제학의 핵심변수인 이윤율을 포함한 한국 경제의 주요 변수들의 흐름을 살펴본다. 한국경제는 국가의 선별적 발전 전략에 기초한 금융적 지원을 바탕으로 빠른 자본축적을 이루어 왔다. 하지만, 1997년 이후 국내 투자의 정체는 그 이전에 존재했던 한국 발전체제의 해체를 의미하며, 이를 한국 경제의 신자유주의적 전환이라 부를 수 있다. 다른 한편에서, 해외직접투자와 같은 해외 투자는 이러한 이행과정에서 급격히 증가했다. 이 논문에서 우리는 한국경제의 이윤율과 경기변동의 관계에 관한 시론적 자료를 제시한다.

영문 초록

In this paper, I provide a selection of central macroeconomic data for the Korean economy, among which the profit rate is a key variable to explain the state of economic affairs before the Covid-19 pandemic. Capital accumulation in the Korean economy had been driven by strong financial support based on the country’s selected developmental strategy. However, stagnation in domestic investment over the past 20 years has meant the disintegration of the previous developmental regime, which refers to the neoliberal turn of the country’s economy. On the other hand, this transition has led to a dramatic increase in overseas investment such as FDI.
