국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 창의성과 긴밀한 관련성을 가진 자아정체성과 진로성숙도에 집중하여, 창의성이 두 변인을 통해 어떤 특성을 보여주는지 확인하고자 하였다. 창의성을 정의적, 행동적, 인지적 차원으로 정의하여, 창의적 성격, 창의적 행동, 창의적 아이디어 생성이 각각 자아정체성 지위, 진로성숙도와 관련성을 가지는지 분석하였고, 자아정체성 지위에 따라 창의성이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 대학생 283명의 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 창의성은 자아정체성 지위의 성숙 수준이 높을수록 정적으로, 낮을수록 부적으로 상관관계를 가졌으며, 진로성숙도와는 전반적으로 정적 관련성을 나타냈다. 자아정체성 지위 유형에 따라서 창의적 아이디어 생성 수준의 차이가 확인되었으며, 성취 지위에서 폐쇄 지위보다 높은 수준을 보였다. 또한 자아정체성 지위가 폐쇄, 미분화인 경우, 창의적 행동과 창의적 아이디어 생성이 진로성숙도를 유의하게 예측하였다. 연구 결과, 대학생의 창의성은 자아정체성 지위, 진로성숙도와의 관계를 통해 그 특성을 이해할 수 있는 변인임을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로, 자아정체성 지위별 차별화를 고려하고 진로성숙도와 함께 개발 방향을 모색하기 위한 창의성 연구 및 교육의 방향을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to confirm what characteristics creativity shows by focusing on the two variables of ego identity and career maturity, which are closely related to the creativity of college students. By defining creativity as affective, behavioral, and cognitive dimensions, it was analyzed whether creative personality, creative behavior, and creative idea generation were related to ego identity status and career maturity, respectively. Additionally, the study explored the effect of creativity on career maturity according to the ego identity status. Analyzing the survey responses of 283 college students, creativity was found to be positively related to a higher level of maturity of the ego identity status. Creativity showed a positive relationship overall with career maturity. There was a difference in creative idea generation according to the identity status. When the identity status was foreclosure or undifferentiated, creative behavior and creative idea generation significantly predicted career maturity. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that creativity is a concept whose characteristics can be understood through the relationship between identity status and career maturity. The research results suggested the direction of creativity research and education, considering the relationship with identity status and career maturity.
