국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 COVID-19로 인한 고등교육 환경과 교육 시스템의 변화 속에서 개발도상국 고등교육 교원들의 교수역량에 대한 인식과 요구를 분ck 석하고 실질적인 지원방안을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 총 7개 영역 34개 문항으로 구성된 조사도구를 활용하여 필리핀 국립대학 소속 교원을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였고, 최종 수집된 163명의 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 방법은 교수역량에 대한 중요도와 실행도 간 차이 그리고 역량 개선을 위한 요구도 우선순위를 도출을 위해대응표본 t-검정, Borich 요구도, The Locus for Focus 모델 기법을 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 필리핀 대학교원들은 교수역량에서 중요도와 실행도 간 유의한 차이를 나타내며 특히 이러닝과 전공 수업을 포함하는 수업실행역량, 그리고 학습자참여 중심 수업과 평가 및 피드백에 관한 수업전략 그리고 교수내용지식역량에서높은 요구도를 나타내었다. 둘째, 교수분석설계역량, 조직가치실천역량에서는 중요도-실행도 간 차이뿐만 아니라 요구도 또한 최저 수준으로 나타나 해당 역량에서 요구하는 학습자 요구 중심 교수분석과 설계, 대학(학과) 발전과 교수학습 개선을 위한 참여와 노력에 대한 인식과 개선 요구가 현저히 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 필리핀을 사례로 대학교원 역량 개발에서 고려해야 할 세부 영역들을제안하였고, 이는 COVID-19 이후 고등교육에서 개발도상국의 현지 요구를 이해하고 협력 방안을 탐색하는 데 기초자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze faculty perception and the need for teaching competency in developing countries through field research in the context of posit-COVID. To this end, this research developed a survey tool consisting of 34 questions in 7 areas and analyzed the collected data from 163 respondents of a national university in the Philippines. Then, the study conducted the t-test, Borich's needs, and The Locus for Focus to derive priorities and support areas for improvement needs. The research results are as follows. First, there is a significant difference between importance and performance in teaching competency, confirming the need for improvement. In particular, it showed high demand in instruction competency related to e-learning and major classes, teaching strategy related to learner participation-centered instruction, strategy on evaluation and feedback, and content knowledge. On the other hand, in terms of the competence for instructional design and analysis and organizational value practice, the difference between importance-performance level and the demand was at the lowest level. This study suggested a specific need for the development of competency for university faculty, which can serve as a basis for understanding the local needs of developing countries and exploring the way for international cooperation in higher education.
