국문 초록

호랑이는 인류의 생존 및 발전과 밀접한 연관을 지은 동물 중 하나로, 중·한 양국 문화 속에 깊은 문화적 의미를 갖고 있다. 본고는 문화언어학적인 관점에서 중·한 양국어에서 호랑이와 관련된 고사성어, 속담을 분석함으로써, 양국어에서 나타나는 호랑이에 대한 상징적 의미의 공통점과 차이점을 비교한 다음에, 공통점과 차이점이 생긴 원인에 대해서 논의했다. 본고의 주요 성과는 다음과 같다. 호랑이에 대한 상징적인 의미의 공통점에 있어서, 양국어에서 모두 “용맹과 정의”, “사나움과 악의 세력”, “권세와 위엄” 등의 상징적 의미가 존재한다. 차이점에 있어서, 중국어에는 호랑이의 부정적인 이미지를 더 많이 표현하고 한국어에는 호랑이의 긍정적인 이미지를 더 많이 표현한다. 이러한 공통점과 차이점이 생긴 원인은 중·한 양국의 호랑이 문화의 기원과 역사적 발전 등과 관련된다고 밝혔다. 본고의 연구 성과는 중·한 양국의 상호이해를 증진시킬 수 있을뿐더러, 인간과 자연의 관계에 대한 인식을 심화시키는 데 도움이 될 것으로 본다.

영문 초록

The tiger is one of the animals closely related to the survival and development of mankind, and has a deep cultural significance in the cultures of China and Korea. This paper compares the commonalities and differences in the symbolic meaning of tigers in both languages by analyzing the ancient idioms and proverbs related to tigers in both Chinese and Korean languages from a cultural linguistic point of view. discussed about The main achievements of this paper are as follows. As for the common symbolic meaning of the tiger, there are symbolic meanings such as “valor and justice”, “the power of ferocity and evil”, and “power and dignity” in both languages. In terms of differences, Chinese express more negative images of tigers and Koreans express more positive images of tigers. The reasons for these similarities and differences are related to the origin and historical development of tiger culture in China and Korea. The research results of this paper are expected to not only enhance mutual understanding between China and Korea, but also help deepen the awareness of the relationship between humans and nature
