국문 초록

지난 20년 동안 국내에서 기업가정신에 대한 연구는 주로 벤처기업을 중심으로 한 기술창업에 기반한 접근이 이루어져 왔다. 그러나, 예술과 스포츠 분야에서 강조되는 창의성, 끈기, 도전정신 등은 기업가가 가져야 할 기본적인 속성과 매우 유사할 뿐 아니라, 향후 4차 산업혁명 관련한 기술과 결합해 산업이 급성장 할 전망이다. 따라서 본 연구는 최근 많은 관심을 받고 있지만, 비교적 연구가 덜 되어 온 예술과 스포츠 분야에서의 기업가정신의 태동과정에 대해 알아보고, 이 두 분야에서 기업가정신을 어떻게 바라보아야 할지에 대한 고찰을 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 아울러 두 분야에서 기업가정신이 잘 발현된 난타, 명성황후, 언더아머, 볼빅의 사례를 소개한다. 사례분석 결과, 예술과 스포츠 분야에서 창업자들이 기존의 산업의 틀 안에서 위험과 불확실성을 감수하고 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 등장시켰으며, 이들의 실천정신을 관찰할 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 두 영역에서 모두 “스타(star)” 활용의 효과성을 엿볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

Over the past 20 years, research on entrepreneurship in Korea has been conducted mainly based on technology start-ups. However, creativity, perseverance, and challenging spirit emphasized in the arts and sports fields has been considered very similar to the basic attributes of entrepreneurs and the arts and sports industries are expected to grow rapidly in combination with the 4th Industrial Revolution-related technologies. Therefore, in this research, we aim to explore the beginning of entrepreneurship in the arts and sports fields, which have recently drawn much attention, and to scrutinize the meaning of entrepreneurship in these two fields. In addition, the entrepreneurial processes of Nanta, Empress Myeongseong, Under Armor, and Volvik are introduced as exemplary cases. As a result, it was found that the entrepreneurs in the arts and sports fields introduced new business models by taking risks and uncertainty into accounts. In addition, their entrepreneurial efforts have been highlighted compared to previous research which mostly emphasized their entrepreneurial traits. Finally, the effectiveness of using a “star” system in both areas was discussed.
