소방공무원의 직무스트레스가 자살생각에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 논문은 소방공무원들의 직무스트레스가 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 직무스트레스와 자살생각과의관계에서 알코올 사용 및 인지적 정서조절의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 소방공무원의 직무스트레스,알코올 사용정도, 자살생각, 인지적 정서조절을 측정하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 직무스트레스와 자살생각과의 관계에서 알코올 사용과 인지적 정서조절의 조절효과를 알아보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 알코올 사용과 직무스트레스는 자살생각을 증가시키고, 인지적 정서조절 중에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절 또한 직무스트레스에 자살생각을 증가시키는 것이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학문적, 임상적 시사점과함께 후속 연구의 필요성에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the effect of occupational stress on suicidal thoughts among firefighters and verify the impactof alcohol use and cognitive-emotional regulation on the relationship between occupational job stress and suicidal thoughts. To achieve this, the authors surveyed and measured occupational job stress, alcohol use, and the Korean culture in relationto suicidal thoughts and cognitive-emotional control. The result showed that the hierarchical regression analysis thatexamined the effect of alcohol use and cognitive-emotional regulation on the relationship between occupational job stressand suicidal thoughts indicated that alcohol use had a moderating effect on occupational job stress leading to an increasein the frequency of suicidal thoughts. Based on these results, the necessity of follow-up studies along with the academicand clinical implications are discussed.
