COVID-19 이후 한국 기술창업 스타트업의 해외진출 결정요인

국문 초록

본 연구는 COVID-19이후 한국의 기술창업 스타트업들의 해외진출결정요인과 그 중요도에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 정부지원을 받고 있는 블록체인기술 기반 스타트업의 대표들을 대상으로 설문조사와 AHP분석을 통한 중요도 분석을 하였다. 연구결과 해당 기업들은 COVID-19으로 인한 영향은 거의 미비하고 오히려 경영확장 계획을 갖고 있었다. 또한 이들은 해외진출결정요인 중요도에서 경영자요인으로는 기업가정신, 내부적인 요인으로는 기술경쟁력, 외부적 요인으로는 해외시장규모, 정부규제로는 ICO규제, 그리고 가장 중요한 정부지원책으로는 자금지원을 꼽았다. 국내시장의 많은 규제로 인해 해외진출을 하고 있거나 계획 중에 있었으며 정부지원책 중 관련지식과 전문성이 부족한 컨설팅과 교육 등이 가장 불만이었다. 정부는 COVID-19이후 성장가능성이 높은 산업에 대한 불필요한 규제를 완화하고 단계적이고 체계적인 지원책을 제공해야할 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

This research focused on the reasoning and importance of Korean tech start-ups s overseas expansion. To this end, blockchain technology-based start-ups receiving government support were analyzed through survey and AHP analysis. Results of this study shows affected companies were hardly impacted by COVID-19, but rather, many companies were planning to expand, suggesting the necessity to improve the industry in this field. In addition, companies rated entrepreneurship for managerial factor, size of overseas market for external factor, ICO regulation for government regulations, and most importantly financial support from government, as major factors in overseas expansion. The CEO already had relevant field experience or overseas entrepreneurship experience, and were already expanding or planning to overseas due to severe restrictions in place for the domestic market. Major complaint of these companies include that consulting and education in this field lacks knowledge and expertise, and government support measures need to be and at the industry level. Finally for the development of the high-tech industry, unnecessary restriction must be improved post COVID-19.
