영문 초록

Purpose – In light of the fourth industrial revolution era, a new paradigm is needed for all the industrial sectors. This demand can be reflected in the affects it has on the entire academic world, mainly universities. Since its publication in 2010, IJIDB has been selected as an index of the Korea Research Foundation Journal of Citation Index(KCI) in 2017 through consistent publications and stable operations of high quality academic papers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of various fusion research journals and the operational strategies of such journals and compare them with the operational strategies of IJIDB. Research design, data, and methodology - This study focused on the contents analysis of convergence journals after summarizing the development history from IJIDB s past and its external situation. In addition, we analyzed other strategies such as the number of publication journals, the number of publications, the academic scope, and the impact factor that other convergence journals operate. Results - As a result of the analysis, it could be observed that IJIDB has been newly created compared to other convergence journals, and many publications have not yet been issued. Other convergent journals showed to have several related journals, and some journals managed their impact factor well at 5.8. Also, some journals loaded 25 papers in one volume. Compared to other journals, IJIDB is still in its developmental stages. However, In 2017, IJIDB came second in the field of economic publications of 54 journals. In order to increase IJIDB journal to a top class publication in Korea Citation Index Jourals, KODISA should host more international conferences to increase its international recognition levels. Also, the managerial functions in IJIDB should be developed further to increase its stability. Finally, opportunities for articles by Candidates of Ph.D. and Masters degree students should be more open to foster future potential leaders in this field and build a platform for innovators and leaders. Conclusions – IJIDB is a newly born academic journal. If IJIDB finds its competitiveness in comparison with the operational strategies of other convergence journals, it will be the best journal in the Korea Citation Index to receive the most research papers and hospitality from scholars in the Korean journals.
