국문 초록

본 논문은 바울의 창조신학에 나타난 생태신학적 함의와 윤리적실천을 위한 근거를 탐색하는 연구로서 바울서신에 나타나는 다양한창조에 대한 언급들을 주석적으로 다룬다. 기존의 바울서신을 대상으로 한 생태신학적 논의들은 주로 롬 8:19-23과 골 1:15-20을 중심으로 이루어져왔으며, 인간중심적인 구원론과 세대주의 종말론을 중심으로 바울신학의 내용을 수정하거나 보완하는 방식으로 이루어져왔다. 하지만 이러한 연구들은 바울의 종말론이 담고 있는 우주적지평에 대해서 주목하게 한 성과는 있으나 다소 비약적인 논리를 내세우거나 주석에 있어서 여러 문제들을 보여주었다. 본 연구는 이러한 점에서 창조신학이라는 새로운 관점에서 바울서신이 담고 있는생태신학적 의의를 논한다. 바울서신에는 하나님의 창조에 대한 조직적이고 일목요연한 장황한 설명은 찾아볼 수 없지만 그의 신학은기본적으로 유일신 하나님의 창조에 대한 신앙을 바탕으로 전개된다. 바울은 다양한 문맥 가운데, 인간과 자연을 창조하신 하나님의역사와 능력을 언급하며, 인간뿐만 아니라 자연이 하나님의 창조세계로 가지고 있는 고유의 가치와 선함을 논한다. 그리고, 바울은 유대적 창조신학을 그리스도를 통한 만물의 창조, 화해, 종말론적 회복이라는 새로운 지평으로 확장시키는데, 이러한 그리스도를 통한 생명의 역사 가운데, 자연이 언제나 인간과 더불어 새로운 회복과 창조의 대상으로 언급되는 것을 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 바울서신에 나타나는 창조에 대한 이러한 다양한 언급들 가운데 피조물이 어떠한 가치를 담고 있으며, 어떠한 모습으로 서술되는지 탐색하면서 바울서신이 담고 있는 생태계 회복을 위한 유의미한 신학적 근거들을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This article explores the ecological theological implications of Paul s creation theology and the basis for ecological ethical practice. Ecological theological discussions on the Pauline epistles have been mainly focused on Romans 8:19-23 and Colossians 1:15-20, and have been made in a way that corrects or supplements the existing understanding of Paul s anthropocentric soteriology and dispensationalist eschatology. However, although these studies have had the achievement of drawing attention to the cosmic horizon contained in Paul s eschatology, they made logical leaps or showed several problems in their exegetical analysis. In this regard, this study discusses the ecological theological significance of Paul s epistles from a new perspective of creation theology. Although there is no systematic and detailed explanation of God s creation in Paul s epistles, his theology is basically developed from the belief in the creation of one God. In various contexts, Paul mentions the work and the power of God who created humans and nature, and discusses the inherent value and goodness of nature as well as humans as God s creation. In addition, Paul expands the Jewish creation theology into a new horizon of creation, reconciliation, and eschatological restoration of all things through Christ. This study seeks to offer theological grounds from Paul’s epistles for the restoration of the ecosystem by examining Paul’s various references to the creation and exploring the ways in which Paul describes the creation and communicates its value.
