영문 초록

I have reached the following conclusions after conducting an investigation regarding the awareness and vitalization options for reverse mortgage systems in the baby boomer generation who have not financially prepared for their later years. Firstly, a change of awareness about the public assurance of reverse mortgage programs is needed in order for the baby boomers to be prepared for their later years. Secondly, the conditions to qualify for reverse mortgages need to be lowered and a well-structured advertisement campaign is needed so that an understanding of its advantages can be explained. Thirdly, the interest rate and the monthly payments need to be more realistic and elastic to the member’s monthly income. Fourthly, the reverse mortgage assets will need to be expanded. As the result of this research above, a better knowledge of reverse mortgages is necessary because the average ownership rate of housing is getting over age 75 and 77% of them don t have the intention to refinance their assets.
