국문 초록

본 연구는 소방공무원의 조직커뮤니케이션이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 검증하고, 또한 조직커뮤니케이션과 직무만족 간에 긍정심리자본의 매개효과를살펴보는데 연구목적이 있다. 이를 실증적으로 검증하기 위해 경기도 소방공무원 340명을 대상으로 구조방정식 모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 소방공무원의 수직적 커뮤니케이션과 수평적 커뮤니케이션이 원활할수록 긍정 심리자본과 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인하였다. 또한 긍정심리자본이 조직커뮤니케이션과 직무만족에 있어 부분적으로 매개하는 것도 확인하였다. 이러한 결과에 따라 소방공무원 조직의 위계적 특징에도 불구하고 상급자와 하급자 간의 원활한 커뮤니케이션의 중요성을 제시하고 앞으로 소방조직에 대한 커뮤니케이션 연구의 필요성도 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of organizational communication on job satisfaction of firefighters and examine the mediating effect of positive psychological capital on the relationship between organizational communication and job satisfaction. To verify the findings empirically, a total of 340 firefighters were analyzed using structural equation modelling. The analysis determined that there was an increasingly significant impact on positive psychological capital and job satisfaction the more effective the vertical and horizontal communication of firefighters are. Moreover, the study confirmed that positive psychological capital partially mediates the relationship between organizational communication and job satisfaction. The results of this study highlight the importance of effective communication between senior and junior firefighters despite the hierarchical culture embedded in the firefighter organization and also addresses the importance of conducting future studies on communication in the firefighting organization.
