특수교사의 전문적 학습공동체를 통한 중도·중복장애 특수학급 교육지원 개발 및 실행

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 A시의 중도·중복장애 특수학급 담당교사가 참여하는 전문적 학습공동체를 통해 도출된 지원요구에 기초하여 중도·중복장애 특수학급을 위한 교육지원 모델을 개발·실행하고, 그 효과를 살펴봄으로써 효율적인 중도·중복장애 학생 지원을 위한 방향을 제시하는데 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구 참여자는 전문적 학습공동체 활동을 하고 있는 중도·중복장애 특수학급 담당교사 12명이었다. 자발적으로 출발해온 중도·중복장애 특수학급 교사의 전문적 학습공동체 활동 결과물과 이들 교사가 인식한 직무수행 어려움에 대한 사전조사 자료를 분석하여, 중도·중복장애 특수학급을 위한 교육지원을 고안·적용하였다. 교육지원 요구에 기초하여 구성된 교육지원의 내용은 교육청차원에서 연구자가 주도적으로 실행한 맞춤형 보조공학기기 지원, 순회특수교육지원, 보조공학기기·자세유지기기 활용 컨설팅, 학급차원의 협력적 치료지원, 연수지원(교사, 학부모, 실무원) 중도·중복장애 특수학급교사 전문적 학습공동체 예산지원과 이들이 주체가 되어 개발한 중도·중복장애 특수학급 운영 매뉴얼 등이 포함되었다. 연구결과: 이러한 교육지원의 실행은 중도·중복장애 특수학급교사의 직무수행 어려움 인식 변화에 유의미한 영향을 주었고, 참여 교사들의 교육지원에 대한 만족도는 대체로 높게 나타났다. 결론: 이를 통해 앞으로 지속적 실행이 필요한 교육지원 영역이 제안되었고, 연구결과를 바탕으로 일반학교 통합교육환경에서 중도·중복장애 학생을 위해 실효성 있는 교육지원을 제공하기 위한 논의와 제언이 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purposes of this study were two folds, including (1) to develop educational support plan based on the needs of teachers working with students with severe and multiple disabilities(SMD) at special classrooms through teacher professional learning community(PLC), and (2) to explore benefits of support plans for the SMD special classroom. Method: Participants were 12 special education teachers working for the students with SMD in special classroom, who are participating in teacher PLC currently. To explore needs of supports, we analyzed conference locks from 2014-2015 teacher PLC as well as pretest data of job-performance of those teachers. From the analysis on needs of educational supports, we had developed preliminary support plans for the SMD special class and this plans were revised and refined through discussions at the PLC. Results: Revised support plans is consisted of customized assistive technology device support, circuit special education support, device use consulting, collaborative treatment support at class level, training for teachers, parents, support personnels, financial aids for professional learning community, and development of manual on managing special classroom for students with severe and multiple disabilities. Results indicated that there were significant impacts of support plan, specifically, teachers’ recognition of job-performance was enhanced and their satisfactions on the plan were relatively high. Conclusion: Based on the results, discussions and implications for further studies and practices related to students with severe and multiple disabilities were provided.
